Vengeance

Thirteen

Ilaria's whole body shivered as Serena held her hand and stood beside her. She looked at her hot bodyguard who smiled which was enough to take her breath away. For a moment Ilaria forgot everything. Her mind stopped working. After the kiss Serena was all she could think about. She just couldn't get that day out of her mind how much she tried. Now Serena was messing with her again. "Are you her date?"

Ilaria got back to her senses and snatched her hand away angrily. "N-" Serena didn't let her answer. "Yes." What the hell? "Wow! I won't deny that you're far better than Liam. He's an idiot." Tiffany said while Ilaria's other friends agreed. Ilaria couldn't believe it. All of her friends were on Serena's side. Well who she's kidding, they were never on her side. She needed to get out of here.

So she went straight to the bar to get a beer. She was so angry. First the kiss was a mistake and now appearing here as my date. Ughhh why is she so annoying? She looked over at Serena who was coming towards her. No I'm leaving. She was about to leave, Serena grabbed her hand. It made Ilaria pissed.

Ilaria glared at her and snatched her hand. Her blood was boiling at the thought of earlier incident. One time you'll say that the kiss was a mistake and other time you'll call yourself as my date. What do you think of me, Serena Walker? Your puppet? "Uh oh if looks could kill I would be dead by now." Serena commented. "Don't forget your position. Just because you claimed yourself as my date in front of my friends doesn't mean I consider you as one. Stay away from me. It would be great if you do not show your face for the rest of the night."

Without giving any time to respond Ilaria walked away from Serena. She hurt her and Ilaria wasn't gonna forgive her anytime soon. Serena understood very well because Ilaria looked so damn serious when she said it. Maybe I really did hurt her. But what could I do?

Serena and Ilaria stayed away from each other for the whole evening. Ilaria was avoiding her. Serena sighed and focused on another thing which was to search the rest of the rooms of that farm house. Who knows maybe she'll find some clues there? Serena looked over Ilaria who was talking to her friends. Then she looked over Alhena and others. Perfect! This is the chance.

She called someone to defuse all the cameras for some time so that she could search the house without getting caught. A few minutes later she was informed that all the cameras were defused but only for thirty minutes. Very well. I've enough time. She put her earpiece on to connect with the person who worked for her. She needed to be alert at every moment. Without wasting anymore time she left from there.

Meanwhile Ilaria was bored after talking to her friends. They were saying nonsense which made her uninterested. Too much to have a good time. All of these are happening for Serena. She eyed through the whole room but weird where is she? Then she rolled her eyes. Why do I care? She can go to hell. But this is my opportunity to get her fired. Mom would be pissed if she heard Serena disappeared during her duty. Hah!

She giggled herself and went to the bar again to get another drink. I feel like dancing. After having some shots she went to the dance floor and started to have fun while dancing. She loved vibing alone, being alone. On the other side Serena froze at her place, holding a polaroid. What's she seeing? She wanted to surprise Alhena when she had all the evidence against her but now she was surprised. She got back to her senses as she heard through her earpiece.

"Get the hell out of there boss, someone's approaching."

After some minutes of dancing Ilaria stopped as the soft music started playing. She looked around and saw all the couples were dancing. "Great! Now I'm alone. What's the point of standing there?" She mumbled having a sigh. As she started to walk away one of the couples pushed her accidentally.

She tripped over and about to fall but Serena caught her before that. It happened so fast that both of them forgot to react. Serena just held Ilaria while they both stared at each other until Serena got back to her senses. "You like to be held by me. Don't you?"

"Hah! You wish! I never told you to hold me." Ilaria said, gritting her teeth. "Why are you so mad at me? You're being mean to me since the evening." Ilaria couldn't believe this. Are you fucking serious? She just glared at her. But she's right. Why am I so upset for calling that kiss a mistake? It was just a kiss but it bothers me and I hate it. Ughh! I'm confused as hell.

Ilaria got out of her thought as Serena spoke. "I'm sorry for whatever I did. I'll make it up to you but now-" Serena extended one of her hands. Ilaria furrowed her eyebrows. "May I have this dance please?" Ilaria eyed her from up and down. "Fine!" Because you apologised. "Wow this easily?"

"Okay I'm leaving." Ilaria said. "No no. Stay." With that they started to dance in rhythm. At first Ilaria avoided the eye contact with her but as the time went she loved every moment of it. She was totally enjoying this. "I-" As they were starting to get really close to each other, Ilaria stopped. Some flashback came in her mind.

Without saying anything she ran away. Serena was confused. What's going on? Did I do something wrong? Serena wanted to talk to her but Ilaria kept ignoring her. Sometimes later Ilaria got really annoyed and said to Serena, "Can you just leave me alone? You're giving me creeps. Just leave me the hell alone. Why don't you understand that I'm not interested to talk to you or even see you."

Ouch! "Okay I'm sorry for bothering you with my presence. I'll be around if you need me." With that Serena walked away. She never felt like this. Guess that polaroid and Ilaria treating her like that hurt her kind of. After searching for the clues Serena wanted to get her mind off to somewhere for a while. Also she didn't like the fact that Ilaria was upset. She wanted to make it up to it but Ilaria being a stubborn girl, it was harder than she thought.

Meanwhile Ilaria was with her mother. Could anyone believe that? Yeah even she herself didn't believe that. But she went there so that she didn't have to deal with Serena at that moment. Everything was going well but all of a sudden all of the lights went out. What's happening? Then they heard a gunshot. Serena! Was the only name that came in Ilaria's mind. She was stunned.

A few seconds later the lights went on and the people screamed in fear and shock. A body was lying on the floor. Ilaria froze. She couldn't move her body. Her mother was saying something well all of the people who were present but Ilaria couldn't speak. Tears rolled down her eyes.

"SERENA?"
