new year's miracle | ari levinson

I was alone for New Year’s Eve… I was sipping some juice and waiting for Ari to come back. I sigh and go under the table with 12 grapes. The tradition was saying if we ate grapes during New Year’s Eve, it’ll bring good luck and prosperity. I hope next year I will fulfill my dreams with Ari. 

I turn on the TV and the countdown is up. It goes from 12 to 1 slowly and I eat the grapes during it. At 0, I take my phone, and send a message to Ari. 

Me: Happy New Year, my love.

I wish you were here to celebrate it with me.

Please stay safe and come back to me when you can ❤️

I was hoping he would send a message back but he’s still on his mission and I don’t want him to put himself in danger because of me. 

I put on my pajamas, lay on the couch and stare at the ceiling, remembering a beautiful moment with Ari before he went to his mission. 

**December 25th**

We intertwined our fingers together, enjoying this moment in bed, after having sex. I put my head on his chest and hummed.

“I wish you could stay with me…”  I whisper and sigh. 

“I know, baby. But I promise I’ll be back for New Year’s Eve. This is the last mission we’re doing and after this we’re done.” 

“You promise?” I stroke his chest and look up at him. I want to celebrate New Year’s Eve with him and finally have time with him. 

“I promise, sweetheart.” He turns me over, my back on the bed, strokes my cheek with the back of his hand, and kisses me passionately. 

“I was thinking about the new year, what do you think about starting a family together?” His eyes went big, he cupped my cheeks and grins. 

“Say that again, honey?” His smile goes wide and he strokes my cheeks with his thumbs. 

“I wanna start a family with you…” I giggle and he kisses me passionately again. 

“When I come back, we'll have the best family ever and you'll be sooooo beautiful with our baby in your belly.” He kisses me several times on my stomach, tickling me with his beard. I laugh and try to get free from him but he's too strong for me. 

“Wait, I want you to have this when you're on your mission…” I open the drawer from the nightstand and give him my pendant with a turquoise stone on it. “It will protect you…”

He puts it on his neck and he gives me his bracelet with amethyst stones on it. He puts his bracelet on my wrist. “I give it to you, keep it. When you feel sad, think of me.” He kisses my wrist and hugs me tight.

“Would you be happy to have a baby with me?” I say while I rub his back. He pulls away and smiles.

“I'll be so happy, sweetheart. Having a mini us would be so beautiful. Just imagining you pregnant is the most incredible thing that could happened to me.” He pecks my lips and tucks some hair behind my hair.

“What would you like to have? A boy or a girl?” 

“Honestly, I'll be happy to have both, we could have one mini me and one mini you.” He kisses my neck and I giggle.

“They'll have your gorgeous eyes…” 

“And they'll have the beauty of their mother…” I'm in awe about what he said about our future babies and kiss him softly.

“Did you think about some names already?” I put my back on his chest and he strokes my arms.

“I was thinking about Kai for a boy and Selena for a girl.” He kisses my temple. “What do you think?” 

“They're amazing, my love. Can I tell you something?” 

“Sure.” 

“You'll be an amazing dad.” He smiles and kisses me passionately. 

We spent the night talking about the future, probably marrying each other on a beach, the honeymoon will be so beautiful and the ceremony so emotional. We also spent the night having sex until we fell asleep. We didn’t want to be separated from each other. But I knew he'll be back and for good.

I blink my eyes several times and open them. I stand up, rub my eyes and run to the living room. 

He’s not here, I sigh and shake my head. He didn't make his promise… I open my eyes again, frown, and see a small box with an envelope placed in front of the small box.

I take the envelope, open the folded paper and read it :

I heard this precious stone could protect pregnancies. I want you to wear this necklace to protect our future babies from any problems. I love you so much

I giggle and put the pendant with a moonstone around my neck. I hear the door opening and see Ari with a shopping bag. 

He looks at me and smiles. I run towards him, jump and hug him tight. He catches me and wraps my legs around his waist. 

“You’re back” I whisper as I cry. 

“Happy New Year, sweetheart…” He rubs my back. I put my feet on the ground, wrap my arms around his neck, and kiss him passionately. As I pull away, I put my forehead on his and shudder. 

“You look magnificent with this pendant.” He chuckles slightly. 

“I wonder who chose it…” I giggle and he kisses me. “I need to show you something, wait here.” I run to the bathroom, come back with a pregnancy test and give it to him. He smiles and looks at me. 

“Are you…” He chuckles and runs his hand through his hair. 

“I did the test last night, I wanted to tell you by message but I didn’t know if you were gonna see it…” He cups my cheeks and kisses me passionately. 

“This is the best New Year’s ever!” He picks me up and makes me spin around. I laugh and and he puts me on the ground. 

“Our New Year’s miracle…” I say with a tear on my cheek. He wipes my cheek and kisses my forehead. “Please, tell me your missions are over…” 

“Definitely over.” He smiles and strokes my cheek with his thumb. “Now, I have a new mission.” 

“Which is ?” I rub his arm and look at him with love. 

“Starting a family with the one I love for eternity, and it’s you, y/n y/l/n Levinson.” He leans on me and kisses me with passion and pure love. His left hand on my belly and the other on my lower back.
