In the year 2100, the world has been overtaken by the dead. The echoing moans of emptiness. The unfortunate dread. The lingering already dead corpses traversed into the abandoned lands. Gunshots can be heard. The noises as they draw near it. Noises full of desperation, fighting for survival. As the dead draws near in their massive numbers. Hands raising for a call for help. But nobody came...For they knew already too well that it brings a new member to their packs. When the fallen comrade had turned the horde pursued to the next living victim. With so much fear a woman had tripped on the stairway. She clings for dear life. Tata* Tatata-Realizing that her gun is jammed she begins using it as a blunt weapon. "S-stay Away!" She yelled but it only delayed the inevitable as more crept closer towards her. All she could do was look to her fellow survivors. Who could do nothing to help her? Bang! Smoke trailing from one of the tips of the guns. The old man glared at her, regretting not keeping an eye on her more. "Old man, hurry before they come. Th- agh~!"The man had been bitten by surprise. They had been jumping the ramps from the other side of the tall buildings. Realizing the man was going to turn, the old man was about to shoot the young man. Before he could do so, instead the young man had shot himself in the head. Killing the dead in ricocheting from the angle of his shot. There are only seven people left.
As they reached the top. They had believed they were safe. Undead also called Zombies cannot climb surely they had thought. Taking a breather they mourn for the loss of their comrades. Without realizing it, flocks of birds had come to their position. Diving onto one of the survivors, they gorged their blooded beaks into the body. Caw* caw*Grabbing the neck of the bird the survivor had snapped it. Only to next be bombarded by other flying infected creatures. "Aaarggh!" Exclaimed in excruciating pain. Being so occupied with the unsightly death of the man, they had not realized that the dead had reached their ground level. When two others next to the ledge were snatched by the oncoming hordes climbing on top of each other out of coincidence. "H-help me!" One came to help pull them away but was attacked by the birds when they finished feasting on their first meal The old man bore witness to it all horrified he and two others ran deep into a vault."Eee-ughh~..." A scared woman "We're going to die..." she proclaimed The old man looking for an escape plan, "Do not lose hope this bank vault we secured can't be penetrated!" "O-ok..." she is calmed by his words. "Old man Zairo, what do we do now? It's only the three of us left..." a man asked. Searching for the compartment he had secretly hidden, revealed a box. Opening the box inside was a watch-like object. "I found it...young ones. This watch will bring us back to the past." Zairo was in awe "Don't screw with me old man we don't have time to joke!" The young man yelled. "I shouldn't have followed you. I was a fool...""Quick we don't have much time, which of the two of you want to go back to the past?" Zairo was serious. So the two listened carefully. "You mean we get to go back to before all this happened?" The woman looked puzzled Both the man and woman stared at each other pointing towards one another. "Wait! Wait! Hold on why don't we all just go?" The young man had thought well to himself "No can do..." Zairo replied "Why not?" Both exclaimed "Only one person wearing the device can go." He explained to them. Both had become skeptical of this old man's words "Well, anything else we need to know?" The man had questioned "I don't know..." Zairo had said solemnly "H-huh what do you mean you don't know. This is bull shit! Don't go on giving us false hope!" "Well, who wants to go back in time?" Zairo repeated.
Suddenly a loud thud can be heard from the other side of the vault door. The three had kept silent and observed the situation. A second time there was more aggressive pounding. The third time the vault door started to bend. With one more push, the vault door had opened. Killing the woman who was near the door. The door to the frame landed on Zairo's right leg. The young man looked at Zairo handing his hand out, "Quick give it to me before we're all toast!"Before Zairo could do anything a humongous hand had grabbed onto the young man's arm. The hand was so big that it looked like it belonged to a Tyrannosaurus head. "Shit! Hurry old man! Do it now!" Attempting it again Zairo was barely able to attach the device. He missed as the bank vault's weight was crushing one of his legs. Not even a moment could he hear the screams of the young man it happened so quickly that the screams could not be heard...Zairo has become the last human. "Damn it all! "With no other choice. Zairo tried putting on the device himself. Putting it on he saw the beast that stared at him peeking at him with its humongous side-eye. Before it could reach its arm in the room, Zairo had turned the switch. Activating a surge of light enveloped both Zairo and the Huge beast. Giving room moving back, the beast has allowed the dead to go inside, approaching Zairo. Blinded Zairo could not react. All he could feel was his body being bit into and feasted on. Fading to consciousness he fell. He felt his life flash before him. Met his old crewmates, fearing the dead, and of course his dear friend Scylla's last words to him. "Should you ever use the watch...find me as soon as you can. "Awakening as if it was all a dream. Zairo had found himself to be a college student in his early twenties. Looking at the date of the calendar on his smartphone, he realizes he only has four months of the year 2025 until the apocalypse happens. Noting every instance, every interaction, every event, and the area he has been to. Zairo prepares. Using every bit of his finances he prepares himself. This time he won't fail. This time he will end it all. He will save everyone as best he can.
