As he packed his bag, Su-hyeok couldn't help but feel regret thinking back to that day. He should have just told her there and then that he loved her.
He had loved her for years before that, before they even got close. Even while he was hanging around with the bullies.
It still felt unbelievable to think that that had happened. One minute they were just joking about who he liked, next there was people eating other peoples faces.
It was horrifying, really.
He knew he had to be discreet about the packing, it wasn't gonna be easy since he shared a tent with his dad. It took a lot of debating but he decided not to tell him he was going just incase he got questioned. He didn't want to put the pressure of lying on his father.
He felt bad leaving him. He was forever grateful that his father had been on a trip during the whole ordeal. His mother hadn't made it out. Despite how upsetting that had been, it was great that his father was here when he arrived.
Hardly any of his groups parents were here. On-jo's weren't. Ha-ri's weren't. Mi-jin's older sister was, but her parents weren't. Hyo-ryeong's weren't and Dae-su's mom had managed to get here.
"You ready?" Ha-ri asked, walking through his tent entrance. He sighed before slowly nodding. "Cheer up. She's alive." She slowly walked over to stand beside him.
"Yeah." He slightly smiled, zipping his bag shut. He didn't have much to take. No one had many possessions seeing as no one really had a home anymore.
"Stop being so down, you're finally going to see her. Don't get caught up in the past." She told him, patting his shoulder before walking out of the tent.
