"CUCKOO BIRDIE" "KILLER"—— ROBIN QUINN HAD BEEN CALLED EVERYTHING OF THE SORT. It didn't make it any better when Chancellor Jaha publicly held her trial, where they had no leads because their justice system was LITERALLY SHIT.. in Robin's choice words. Most of Birdie's time was spent in her cell, and occasionally she would work in the library or do minuscule tasks no one wished to do, where she was able to nab more books. Books is where she learned most of her choice words from. And her Earth knowledge.

Earth particularly fascinated Robin. It was nothing like she'd ever known before, which is why she read any and all books to know it. Somewhere in her heart she believed they'd be able to go back someday, and they'd have to— oxygen doesn't last forever.

Sometimes it was good to be in solitude. You have a lot of time to think about everything you've done, even when you haven't done anything. Prison could be boring though. What got her put in there was her main focus. Everyone thought she had killed her parents— blaming it on her overall attitude and mental state. Voices screamed bloody murder in her head.. Birdie never knew if they were her parent's voices or not, but they didn't budge, even after five years. The murder of her parents was unexpected. They had so much to live for and it was all stripped away in an instant. How you could accuse a twelve year old girl of murdering her parents? Robin never knew. She was going to be brutally stripped of her oxygen in t-minus two days, and she never had a chance to tell her side of the story.. but it didn't help when you were called crazy, right?
