Age: 16
Plot: Y/N goes drinking at 2am and finds Nat asleep in the kitchen among mission papers (FINALLY!!! :) )
A/N: that's it, nat it's me except there is no one actually caring and brave enough to get me go to sleep 😅
3rd Person's POV:
Y/N sighs, the clock striking 2 am as she drags herself out of bed. Thirsty and half-asleep, she stumbles into the dimly lit living room.
The quiet hum of the refrigerator and the soft patter of her footsteps on the cold kitchen tiles are the only sounds that echo through the dimly lit Avengers Compound. As she tiptoed into the kitchen, she expected a silent, solitary journey to the sink and back.
However, here, in a makeshift office, Natasha is slouched over the table cluttered with work papers, mission reports and other boring papers. The soft glow of the desk lamp illuminates the exhaustion etched on her face. Her heart sinks at the sight.
It isn't unusual for her mom to get lost in her work, but seeing her slumber amidst the chaos is a clear indicator that she had pushed herself too hard this time.
"Mom" Y/N whispers, trying not to startle her. She gently shakes Natasha's shoulder, but the older woman only mumbles incoherently in response.
"Mom, you need to go to bed," Y/N insists, nudging her mom gently. Natasha stirs, her eyes blinking several times before focusing. "Hmm? What time is it?"
"It's 2 am, Mom. You fell asleep working again..." She points out softly, a mixture of worry and sympathy in her voice. Natasha groans, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.
"I must've lost track of time then" Y/N glances at the clock; it is well past 2 am. "Clearly. Come on, mom, you need to sleep"
"I can't, not until I finish these, sweetheart. Go back to bed." Y/N frowns, concern etching her features. She knows how stubborn her mother could be when it comes to... almost everything, she is too, but it's evident that her mother needs a break.
"Mom, you've been at it for hours. You need rest" Y/N pleads, her eyes reflecting concern. Natasha looks up, her tired eyes meeting Y/N's earnest gaze.
Natasha sighs, rubbing her temples. "I know, детка. But the world doesn't stop just because I'm tired." Y/N cross her arms, determined. "The world can wait a few hours, Mom. You can't keep burning the candle at both ends. You need rest, and I need my mom to be healthy and happy."
Natasha glances at her daughter, a soft smile playing on her lips. "You're too wise for your age, you know that?"
Y/N rolls her eyes playfully. "I get it from you. Now, come on. Let's go to bed. You can tackle the world-saving paperwork in the morning."
"Go to bed, Y/N. I'll finish up here and join you soon."
She hesitates, a stubborn determination in her expression. "How about a deal, Mom? You go to bed now, and I'll help you finish these in the morning. We'll make it a team effort."
Natasha raises an eyebrow, considering the proposal. Y/N knows she has to make the offer tempting enough for Natasha to agree. "And if you refuse, I might have to pull out the 'very concerned daughter' card, and we both know you can't stop that."
A small smile plays on Natasha's lips. "You drive a hard bargain, Y/N. Fine, let's deal. But only if you promise to get some sleep too."
Y/N grins, satisfied with the negotiation. "Deal. Now, let's get you to bed. The world can survive a few more hours without the Black Widow, I, on the other hand, can't without моя мама"
Natasha chuckles, appreciating Y/N's persistence. They both stand up, Natasha stretching her stiff muscles. Y/N guides her towards the bedroom, determined to ensure her mom gets the rest she deserves.
As Natasha settled into bed, Y/N lingered, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "One more thing, Mom. I have a condition for our deal."
Natasha raises an eyebrow, intrigued. "And what might that be?"
"You have to promise that if I help you finish these in the morning, we get a movie night. No work, just popcorn and cheesy movies."
Natasha laughs, genuinely amused. "You drive a hard bargain, indeed. But I agree. Movie night it is, on one condition."
Y/N raises an eyebrow in curiosity. "What's the condition?" "You have to sleep with me tonight. No arguments," Natasha declares, a hint of playfulness in her eyes.
Y/N pretends to ponder the terms, then grins. "Deal. I get my movie night, and you get your overprotective mom moment. Fair trade."
They both chuckle, the agreement sealed. Y/N climbs into bed beside Natasha, knowing that sometimes, the best way to take care of the world is to take care of each other first. As they settled in for the night, the Avengers Compound embraced a moment of peace, a pause in the constant rhythm of heroism.
