Age: 5
Plot: (i kinda don't know what to write here, sorry)
A/N: Don't be so harsh, I think I've made a crap of work but ok
Nat's POV:
I've been looking for my little troublemaker for so long, and I still can't find her. She should still be inside the compound, otherwise, FRIDAY would have alerted me, but I'm still curious to know where she's hiding.
"Where are you ребенок? Come on, mama misses her little spider" I say checking her room again, nothing at all, it's like the fourth time I've been around the compound. "You still haven't found her?" Steve says leaning against the doorframe. (*baby*)
I shake my head and lie down on her bed facing the ceiling. "She's become a better spy than me, I can't even find her anymore" he chuckles "I mean, she's a Romanoff, what did you expect?" which makes me roll my eyes.
Suddenly I hear a couple of very fast little steps and shrill screams, ah my little monster. "MAMA HEWP ME! HEWP ME! ДЯДЯ ТОНИ ПОГОНЯ ЗА МЕНЯ!" (*UNCLE TONY IS CHASING ME!*)
And before I know it I find two little arms squeezing my legs tightly. "Here you are sunshine!" I say picking her up before she snuggles into my chest. "mama I'm so scared" she whispers, with that cute little voice of hers.
Before dedicating myself to my daughter I spell "talk to you later" to Steve who nods understandingly and leaves.
"And why are we so scared, hun? Didn't you mess up in Uncle Tony's lab, did you?" I look at her seriously, but with a genuine smile to make her understand that she's not in trouble. She nods her head shyly. "Что мне с тобой делать, мой маленький смутьян?" I tell her, and she looks at me confused. Before I start with a ticklish attack that makes her squirm from my strong grip, and laugh out loud, how I love hearing her laugh. (*What should I do with you, my little troublemaker?*)
Our little moment is interrupted by Tony entering the room, his face mixed with concern and annoyance. "Nat your daughter is amazing, she managed to get into the lab even though I locked everything up. She even eluded FRIDAY!" he explains to me, and I have to say that I'm surprised too. I look at my daughter for confirmation, and she innocently smiles.
"Did she touch anything?" I ask, worried that she's broken something or worse. "No nothing important" even if that 'important' is to be defined I'm relieved that nothing bad happened.
However, Y/N needs to understand that going to the lab can be dangerous for her as she is a child, as this isn't the first time and it definitely won't be the last. "OK детка, listen, in Uncle Tony's lab there are many things, they may seem very interesting to you because they shine and make many peculiar sounds, but you see, you can hurt yourself with these things if you're not careful. This is why Uncle Tony doesn't want you to go there, it's not a challenge to see if you can get in, he does it for your good because he loves you and doesn't want you to get hurt. Do you understand my love?" I explain to her, in a firm tone to make her understand how serious what I say is.
She gives me a small nod. "Honey, I need you to use your words" "Yes мамочка" she replies with a pout. "good little bean" I peck her lips and the pout goes away replaced by a smile.
<time skip because the author is not good with words :) >
I just put Y/N to bed and I'm taking some time for myself, which I haven't done in a long time. Reading a book in the tranquility of my own room, sitting nice and comfortable without any looming thoughts.
The start of a light drizzle makes me think of Y/N, I hope there won't be some thunder too, she gets so scared and was really tired when I put her down.
There are still a few of Y/N's things scattered around the room, the thing that catches my eye however is a drawing on the coffee table that I'm 100% sure wasn't there last night. (a/n yep, mama nat stays up working, poor mama) There's me, and from what I understand I'm beating up the bad guys while Y/N from home is cheering me on. "Oh, my baby" my heart melts with such tenderness, I can't help but smile, this goes straight hanging on the fridge period.
It's raining harder and harder and I'm starting to worry about Y/N, at night it seems like she's in an advanced martial arts class because I find her in strange positions when I wake her up, the blanket completely off the bed. I decide to go and check you out, just in case.
As I had thought, completely without a blanket. "Что мне с тобой делать? Хорошо, что ты милый" I speak in a low voice as I spread the blanket over my daughter. (*What should I do with you? It's good that you're cute*)
I gently tuck her in and kiss her on the forehead "Спокойной ночи, маленькая звездочка". As I get closer to the door ready to leave, Y/N lets out a moan in her sleep, such a mama's girl (*Goodnight little star*)
In the end, I stayed with her for a little while longer whispering a few sweet words to her, even today the time for myself seems to skip. After leaving the room I go straight to my room, change into my night clothes, and fall into bed, I'm exhausted.
Around 4 and 5 I hear little footsteps and I think it's my daughter going to the bathroom since we have it in common, this is until I find myself someone who wants to slip into my arms. Without letting her know I'm awake, I make it easier for her to position herself. Three minutes later I have a little spider in my arms and I couldn't wish for anything better. My little miracle, how I love her. I would do anything to protect her, protect that smirk when she's right and everything.
