".......the FUCK!?" I look up at my slightly bloodied wings as they flapped up and down, I started to lose control and I fell into the water "AH, SHIT.....um..." I lift my wing up out of the water and flap them up and down.
"um...ok" I start to flap them faster till i'm slightly up in the air again "ok, ok, ok, um lets just.....um" I slowly start to fly back to the shore, just as Percy was also rising on the waves "PERCY! LOOK OUT!" I crash into him and we fall face first onto the sand "uuggghh, dude......when did you grow wings?" He said as he looked at my new golden wings
"umm, I think?" "what do you mean you think?" we hear ambulances "Mommy, Mommy! that boy just came out of the water and he's dry" a small boy said "thats nice dear" The mother said looking at the ambulances "and that boy was flying!" "thats nice dear"
We walk past them and hear news reporters talking, we try to keep ourselves hidden "ok...um" I try to hide my wings as best I can even thou none of the normal people can see it thru the mist "we need to find Grover and An-" "BIRDIE!" Annie tackles me to the ground in a hug "your ok!- um wings.... you've got wings"
Grover hugs Percy "um yeah...wings" Annie giggles "guess Birdie was a good nickname then" she said as she hugged me tight Percy and Grover look at us and smirks "we thought you guys had gone to Hades the hard way" Grover said, Annie then pulled on my new wing as we stood up "we cant leave you alone for 5 seconds with out you getting attacked by monsters! What happened!"
"we.....we kinda fell"
"200 METERS!?" Annie yelled as she tugged harder on my wing
"Ow, ow, ow, Annie i'm sorry but please let go they already hurt enough from the wings just springing out of my back!" she let go once we see the police and doctors bring the family from the Arch, specifically the mother, being carried on a stretcher, yelling about Chimera.
"....There they are! thats the boys!" We all turn and run off and disappeared into the crowd "whats going on? why is that lady yelling about the Chihuahua on the elevator?" me and Percy start telling the story about the Chimera, Echidna, and Percy then started talking about some underwater lady's message
"We've got to get you to Santa Monica! you cant ignore a summon from your dad." before Annie could responded we run into another reporter next to a van and me and Percy almost freeze in our tracks "Percy Jackson and Y/N L/N, thats right Dan. Channel Twelve has learned that the description of the boys who caused the explosion fits the description of two young boys wanted by authorities for a serious new jersey bus accident three days ago. And the boys are believed to be travelling west, for our viewers at home here are photos of the boys"
we all slip around the van and into a nearby alley "first things first we need to get you out of town!" some how we make it back to the train before it leaves, as the train goes we watch as St Louis Skyline falls behind us

we walked down a long road, I cant see the end of it any where. Annie hasn't let my hand go since we left the Arch "hey guy" Percy said, he start saying stuff about how he thinks this quest will be more difficult then he thought and that we dont know how deep this goes
"....i'm the last one to realize this aren't I?"
"yeah" we all said
"ok so.... maybe when we started my head wasn't fully in this, but since the river.... it all feels different somehow" he pauses "he saved me. My dad" he looked at me "and your mom, she saved you" I laughed "I dont think so" "what do you mean?"
