On October 25, G-Dragon, real name Kwon Jiyong, was reportedly booked for drug use. Kwon Jiyong is currently under police investigation for breaching the Narcotics Control Act without detention, according to local media citing Incheon Metropolitan Police.
The rapper was previously connected to another drug use, Marijuana Scandal in 2011. He admitted to the use of marijuana at a club in Japan. However, Kwon Jiyong said he was unaware of the substance he had accepted and prosecutors dropped the case.
Police denied the linking investigation of the Kwon Jiyong case to the alleged drug use of Lee Sunkyun, who starred in the Oscar-winning movie, Parasite.
Following the drug use allegations, Kwon Jiyong arrived at the Nonhyeon Police Station in Incheon to undergo his questioning on November 6.

Not only his choice of car but someone who was behind the car also surprised the media. As Kwon arrived at 1:23 PM KST, a singer and actress, Blackpink Jian, real name Cho Sooji, was seen inside the car and showing her support through the drug allegations of Kwon Jiyong.
Dressed in a western denim shirt, Cho Sooji patiently waited for four hours inside the car, during the questioning of Kwon Jiyong.
Concluding the four-hour interrogation, Kwon Jiyong left the station at approximately 5:25 PM. The rapper's response to the presence of Cho Sooji, "The question is irrelevant."
The show up of Cho Sooji marked the first official public appearance for the couple. G-Dragon and Blackpink Jian were previously linked to dating news in 2021, and the news resurfaced in 2023 ever since the two started being seen in the same place numerous times.
