"Do you like her?" The elder woman trailed after her busy son, attempting to engage him in matters of the heart.
"How about this girl? I heard she is from a good family and she is pretty too" Mrs. Park, persistent in her matchmaking efforts, presented a photograph of a girl from a reputed family, hoping to capture Jimin's attention.
However, Jimin, clearly uninterested and a bit exasperated, rolled his eyes and dismissed the proposal, his lack of interest in any girl being higher.
"stop it Mother, I'm not interested in any girl at this moment and right now I'm busy" As he walked away, Mrs. Park voiced out "All I want is to see my son's marriage and his kids but you seem to make it impossible. I think I'll be dead be-"
Jimin, sensing his mother's jestful yet earnest concerns, interrupted her with a hug, preventing her from continuing her dramatic statements about not living long enough to witness his marriage. Pulling away, he raised his eyebrows, familiar with his mom's tendency to resort to humorous blackmail.
"Mom don't say that and please stop blackmailing me," Pulling away, he raised his eyebrows, familiar with his mom's tendency to resort to humorous blackmail.
"Okay, I won't force you but at least see these girls. I'm pretty sure you would fall first sight-" Despite his plea, Mrs Park, undeterred, proposed that he at least consider meeting the girls she had in mind, explaining to him about love and how it works.
Jimin contorted his face in an effort to focus on his mother's words, just as his gaze shifts to the other side. His eyes landed on you, diligently arranging dishes on the dining table. A faint smile played on his lips as he observed you, fingers poised under your chin, a mix of curiosity and confusion evident on your face as you memorized each dish's name.
"Excuse me!" Interrupted by Mrs. Park's insistence, Jimin reluctantly redirected his attention, but his eyes soon drifted back to you.
"Whom are you looking?" Mrs. Park, noticing his distraction, attempted to regain his focus, waving her hand and calling for his attention. In response, Jimin grabbed her face to make her look at him, prompting a baffled expression on Mrs Park's face.
"Look at me and now you say,"
Frowning, she freed herself from his grasp.
"Look here. She is a popular singer. Her name is Kim Miyeon-"
"Yeah yeah, I got it. I will see it afterwards," Jimin, seemingly uninterested, brushed off his mother's attempt to involve him in the discussion. However, Mrs Park's choice of words brought a sudden halt to his departure.
"Even that Young man commander Jeon is getting married to the daughter of the Minister, boy indeed hit the jackpot. Can't imagine the power he would hold after marrying that girl. I was initially planning to get her with you but his mother worked faster," Mrs. Park, folding her hands, expressed her disappointment.
"He is getting married?" Jimin, seemingly unaware of this development, expressed confusion.
"Oh. Yes, of course you didn't know? We are invited too," Mrs Park speaks innocently. She seems to be taken aback by her son's sudden interest in this matter.
"Any problem? Do you like that minister girl? Is that why you are rejecting the girls I show you? Should I talk with her to marry you-"
"Mom stop," he quickly dismissed the idea, visibly frustrated with his mother's persistent matchmaking attempts.
"Chill boy. I was just asking since you were much interest on that commander's marriage," Mrs. Park, adopting a more casual tone, teasing him playfully before walking away.
Jimin, left with his thoughts, turned his gaze to you, busy with the table arrangements. With a hint of worry, he muttered to himself, "I hope you are out of his radar Miss Y/n,"

You set out for the market town, entrusted your baby to Mrs. Park's care, and headed to buy the needed items. Mrs Park gladly took Ami into her arms, playing with her and expressing her joy at being able to spend time with a baby. Happily, she agreed to look after your child while you ventured into the town market.
As you approached the fish vendor, a familiar face greeted you, "Hi Lady, you are back again," asks the man with a bright smile.
"Yes Sir," With a friendly smile and a nod, you purchased fresh fish from him.
Within a few days of shopping, you made a good amount of friends with the shopkeepers. The welcoming smiles from most of them made you feel a sense of community in the market town.
Moving to another shop, your attention was drawn to a newspaper, and seeking permission from an elderly lady, you grabbed the paper. To your shock, you discovered news of a marriage proposal between Jungkook and Yuna, the Minister's daughter. Memories of Yuna being Jungkook's fiancée during your imprisonment resurfaced, and you sighed in relief, hoping that his focus on you would diminish after this union. You knew he would stop at nothing to get his revenge from you but all you could hope was his obsession with you would reduce and leave you alone after marrying this girl.
However, little did you realize that Jungkook's obsession with you would prove to be unrelenting, creating an ominous uncertainty about the challenges that lay ahead.

In a dimly lit, somber room, Jungkook sat with an intense gaze fixed on a photo – yours. Pulling out a cigarette, he exhaled smoke while gripping your picture. His glare pierced through the image as he placed the cigarette on it, igniting it and burning the photo. Crushing the now-burning picture, he tossed it onto the floor with a mixture of frustration and anger.
A man in a guard uniform entered after a hesitant knock. "Chief, we did our best to find that woman. After her disappearance from the train, all we could spot were guards who were shot to death," he informed, lowering his head and speaking gently, mindful not to provoke the commander further.
"Chief, I'm sorry I couldn't-" In a sudden eruption of anger, Jungkook abruptly stood from his seat, his face contorted with rage as the guard began to apologize. Without allowing him to finish, Jungkook seized the man by the neck, forcefully slamming his head against the wooden table, the impact so intense that it shattered the table.
"You can't even capture a woman then what are you worth of you! You useless filth!" His furious screams echoed in the dimly lit room, his eyes widening, he looked like a monster in human, devoid of mercy.
The guard's cries and screams filled the air as Jungkook mercilessly continued to smash his head against the broken table until the guard reached a state of unconsciousness. Blood splattered across the wreckage, revealing the severity of the man's injuries. Jungkook, in a final act of brutality, flung the now-bloodied guard aside, leaving him sprawled on the floor, a pool of blood forming around his battered and unconscious form. The room, tainted with the aftermath of violence, bore witness to Jungkook's ruthless nature.
Jackson rushed into the room, his face filled with shock as he took in the aftermath of Jungkook's outburst.
"Chief-" Attempting to address Jungkook, he was abruptly interrupted by the commander's stern command.
"Find her Jackson. Only when you find her you come back to me," Jungkook points his finger at Jackson, instructed with a firm resolve.
"But Chief the wedding-"
Jackson hesitated, but Jungkook's rage flared as he asserted his orders. "Find her! Do what I say! Bring her to me, either dead or alive. I want her with me, under my feet," Jungkook growled, his eyes ablaze with a determination to capture you at any cost, revealing the intensity of his vengeful intentions.
