"I'm sorry Miss y/n but it was necessary for me-"

"Commander Park, no more excuses. You knew what you were doing, yet you fed me lies and brought me here just to face more humiliation. All I wanted was a normal, drama-free life, but it seems none of you commanders want that for me," you say, your voice catching as you sniff and wipe away tears.

Jimin's face softens, a hint of shame in his eyes as he looks at the road. "I'm sorry, Miss Y/n. I had no choice. My mother arranged a date with Miyeon without telling me anything. I had to break it off with her, and at that moment, you were my only choice. I apologize, Miss Y/n."

You squeeze your eyes shut, tears escaping and staining your cheeks as you grip the fabric of your dress. Anger bubbles up inside you for letting him use you like this.

"I'm not a toy for you to play with, Mr. Park Jimin," you say, your voice trembling. You turn to the window, tears streaming down your face. Memories of being trapped with Jungkook flood your mind, and now Jimin, whom you trusted, has used you for his own gain.

Jimin's face falls in shame, his grip tight on the steering wheel as he struggles to swallow the tears of guilt. He sneaks side glances at you, witnessing your tearful state, a sight he never wanted to cause again. Despite his good intentions, he finds himself repeating the same mistakes. Choosing silence, he drives back home, giving you the space you need.

As rain starts to fall lightly, the empty road becomes a canvas for water, later intensifying into a heavy downpour visible under the flashlight.

Your gaze stays fixed on the raindrops, thoughts consumed by Hoseok. He's the only man who treated you with respect, giving you the freedom you desired. The one who went out of his way to make you smile.

"Throw this wastewater outside!" your mother yells, prompting you to roll your eyes in annoyance. Pushing your book away, you get up and storm towards your shouting mom.

"Mother, I'm studying," you protest, stomping your feet on the floor and whining.

"You're going to fail anyway, so help me in the house," she insists, moving to check the rice boiling in the pot.

You look at her with your mouth wide open, scoffing at her remark. "I will pass this time, mother," you assert, making her laugh. She checks the rice grains and notices the pot is nearly empty.

"Oh my god, the grains are over. Y/n, buy the grains from the man named Jung Ji-seok," she instructs, raising your eyebrows with a questioning look.

"How would I know that person?" you ask.

"He comes here in a cart, selling grains. And don't forget to throw these out," she hands you a bucket of wastewater and walks away to attend to other chores.

You groan in frustration before storming out of the house, grumbling to yourself as you clench the bucket tightly. Along the way, your irritation gets the better of you, and without noticing, you splash the water out. To your surprise, a man is waiting just outside, and the water splashes all over his face. A yelp escapes you as you drop the bucket, covering your mouth, eyes wide in fear and shock. You never expected a man to be the unintended victim of this dirty water incident.

Wiping the water from his face, his straight eye opens, meeting your panicked expression.

"I'm so sorry, sir. Are you okay?" you rush to him, noticing his wet, water-soaked clothes. Quickly tearing a piece of fabric from your clothes, you gently rub his face, attempting to clean the dirty water off. He slowly lowers his hands, revealing his face, and for a moment, you're stunned, mouth agape at his unexpectedly handsome features.
