Jimin scoffed as he perused the invitation from Kim Corporations. Despite having received a harsh reprimand from Taehyung, he still had the audacity to include Jimin's name on the guest list. "As if I will go there," he grumbled, his frustration evident. He crumpled the invitation card in his hand, ready to toss it aside, but his mother, Mrs. Park, intervened, snatching it from him before he could act. Jimin's lips parted in surprise at his mother's sudden action.
"Mom," he started, unsure of her intentions.
"Shut up! How can you throw the invitation just like that?" she scolded him, her tone firm as she read through the contents of the invitation from the Kim Family.
"I don't like that guy. So I don't want to be anywhere near him," Jimin retorted, his voice tinged with annoyance as he redirected his attention to the documents in his hands.
"So? You will take it out on his family?" As Jimin's mother pressed on about attending the event, Jimin could feel his frustration mounting."Mom, just let it go and rest," he urged, his irritation palpable as he closed his eyes in exasperation.
"No, Jimin, you can't simply refuse to attend. Your presence there is crucial for your status," his mother persisted, folding her hands and raising her eyebrows in a gesture of declaration.
"All the commanders will be there, and if you're absent, rumors about your character will spread across the country."
Jimin took a deep breath, trying to calm himself as he rubbed his forehead in frustration. "I don't care, Mom. He disrespected y/n," he confessed, revealing his true intentions.
Mrs. Park paused, considering Jimin's words. While she understood his reasoning, she also knew he couldn't outright reject the invitation.
"How about you take y/n with you as your fiancée?" she suggested suddenly, her eyes brightening with the idea.
"It would be better, wouldn't it? You won't be alone, and other commanders are already attending with their partners."
Jimin could feel his cheeks heating up at the thought of walking beside you, your hand on his arm, presenting you to the world.
"Mom, please, stop. It's not going to happen. Y/n won't accept, and she already dislikes me," Jimin muttered, almost as if he were trying to stop you from showing up, remembering the tension from your last encounter with him.
But his mother was undeterred. "No, Jimin, I'm sure y/n would accept. Look, I can talk to her for you-" she began, her voice filled with determination.
Before she could finish, you spoke up, catching both Jimin and his mother off guard. "I will go with Jimin, sir," you announced, your voice firm and resolute, surprising them with your unexpected acceptance.
Mrs. Park's face lit up with a wide smile, her excitement evident as she beamed at you. Meanwhile, Jimin, standing beside her, was taken aback, shocked by your willingness to accompany him.
"I knew it! See, y/n has no problem with it. You can go with her," Mrs. Park exclaimed with delight, as if she had been eagerly anticipating this moment.
"B-but y/n- d-didnt you-"As Jimin struggled to comprehend your agreement, his stuttering voice betrayed his disbelief. It was hard for him to fathom that you had genuinely agreed to accompany him. His heart swelled with happiness, and he couldn't help but lock his deep, intense gaze with yours, filled with love and gratitude.
