"May I know your name, please?"

Ah! I uttered nonsense. Is this my first talk with her? Shooooooo! I already know her name!

But her response to it made that question sound like a million-dollar one. She gave silence as a reply.

But why??

She didn't even turn back to look at me. She just increased her pace from walking to running and flew to her home.

I came home with a sulky expression, which Rohan noticed immediately. "Hey! Are all instant noodles sold out? I am really hungry." He pouted.

I took the instant noodles out of my track pants pockets and handed them to him. "Enjoy. I don't feel like eating." I murmured and rushed to my room.

"Hey! It's your turn to cook!" He screamed at my back, about which I didn't care much.

I was a nobody to her until yesterday. But now she knows me. She didn't even feel okay saying her name to me. It hurts.

I couldn't fall asleep, and at the same time, I couldn't do anything else other than try to fall asleep.

Knock, knock, knock!

And that sounded like music.

"Rohan! I am not in the mood!" I screamed to make my statement audible to the man standing outside of my room.

"I am not your wife. I don't care about your mood. Open the door!" He uttered, and I couldn't stop myself from opening the door after hearing that from him.

"Oiii! Here is the leftover. You are the dog I am feeding daily. Eat and sleep." He handed me a bowl of ramen that was still hot.

Who feeds their dog hot food?

I didn't utter anything and accepted the bowl he offered because I was really hungry.

"Do you mind eating with me?" He asked as soon as I got the bowl.

"You are such a bother!" I uttered while smiling inside and followed him to the dining room.

After we started to eat, he started talking. "What's your problem? Did you fight with that grocery store owner?"

"No. I fought with Zaara." I muttered in a casual tone, but he hyperreacted to it. "Hey! When did you guys start talking? Are you lying to me till now?"

"Noo. I talked to her on my way back from the grocery store, but she chose to ignore me." I grumbled.

"You deserve it." He burst out laughing and choked himself with noodles.

"Drink water first!" I said that and ate the rest of the noodles peacefully as he started to focus on his plate.

"Do you still want to see Zaara?" My friend asked in the morning while I was half asleep.

"Hmmmm!" I murmured with my eyes still shut.

"She is standing out. Probably looking at our home." He said that and didn't try hard to wake me up at all. He just walked out after delivering such hot news.

I sprung out of bed and rushed out to witness her reaction after talking with me yesterday.

When did she talk?

It's okay! Let's see how she will react to my talking to her.

As I went close to my door, I could see her, but she didn't sense my presence close to the door.

She was clearly staring at my house, which was located straight in her eyesight from her home.

Usually she never came out of her home in the morning, as she would be busy getting ready for work. But today, she came out.

Is it for me?

I went out and gave her a bright smile, which probably threatened her. She suddenly stopped looking at our house, dodged down, and tried to act casually by petting her dog.

After a few seconds, she again gazed at my home to check whether I was still there.

So I showed my presence by waving at her.
