Ch.3 Welcome Home

We stopped by Steak & Shake pick up some burgers and three vanilla milkshakes. We drove home showing Niko important things like the bank and the supermarket. We passed by a lake and Angie decided that this would be a nice spot to eat. We got out of the car and went to sit at one of the many picnic tables in the park. We sat down with Niko across from me and Angie next to him. We ate in silence for a few minutes just looking around the park and at the lake. We started talking about the apartment and about the jobs that he could be interested in. He said he would most likely get a part time job and then study on line for his degree in teaching. Angie excused herself to go to the bathroom. Niko and I stood up throwing away our trash. We walked to the playground and climbed to the top and sat down next to the slide.
"So how old are you?",Niko said resting his knee against mine. I stared at our knees together and smiled a little bit.
"17",I replied.
He nodded laying down on the floor his head next to my legs. I looked down at him and saw him smiling up at me.
"What",I said my cheeks heating up.
"Your very pretty",he said twirling a strand of my hair with his finger.
"Thanks you're not so bad your self",I whispered causing him to chuckle. He abruptly sat up coming face to face with me our faces inches apart. I held my breath as his hand moved to my face. I closed my eyes waiting for whatever was going to happen. Suddenly I was sliding down the slide. I opened my eyes as the ground came closer and closer. I grabbed on to the sides stopping myself before I fell. I slowly turned to see Niko laughing.
"You fucking little twerp", I said.
He smirked down at me and waved.
"I swear to God when I get my hands on you I'm going to rip you-",I got cut off when Angie spoked.
"What happened?",she asked staring at us curiously.
"Nothing",Niko said sliding down the slide. He stood up wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"Let's go home",he said as I pushed him off roughly. We drove home listening to One Direction. Niko kept complaining and finally I smacked him across the head, Angie chuckled and Niko turned to glare at me. I giggled as he tried to swat my hand but completely missed. We arrived at the apartment an helped Niko unload his bags. We walked up to the apartment and I opened the door.
"Welcome Home", I said sarcastically.
