Ch.19 Dinner

I texted Raphael right before I fell asleep.

Hey would you like to have dinner with us before our date. Dinners at 7 k :)

I was surprised that he texted back so quickly.

I put my phone back on the dresser. I loved how Raphael made me feel. He made me feel girly and giddy. I closed my eyes and let my thoughts drift away slowly.

It was 6:27. Raphael would be here in 30 minutes and I still wasn't ready. I quickly took a shower and threw on my clothes. I didn't know where we were going so I put on some black jeggings and a white crop top. I slipped on my white Converse and quickly straighten my hair. I was done. I looked at the clock 7:02.

I walked out of my room and into the dining room where everything was set. Angie had made some spaghetti and meatballs. Nothing too fancy, I didn't think Raphael would mind. There was a knock on the door and I ran to get it. But guess who was there. Niko. He turned and smiled at me before opening the door. I waited as Niko greeted Raphael and he stepped in. He had on black joggers, a red shirt, and black and red Jordan's. He smiled at me and handed me a bouquet of white roses. I thanked him and led the way to the dining room.

He took a seat and I went to the kitchen to tell Angie that he had arrived. She squealed when she saw the roses and took them from me placing them in a vase. She served the spaghetti and meatballs onto five plates. Brad was coming too. I helped take the plates to the dining table were Niko, Brad, and Raphael all sat silently. We gave each of them their plates and then took our seats. I sat down between Niko and Raphael. It felt somewhat awkward.

"So Ralph how did the two of you meet?",Niko said.
"Its actually Raphael",he corrected Niko arched an eyebrow but didn't say anything back. Thank God.
"Its actually a funny story",I said blushing.
"Yeah so my friends dared me to go over to Katy and touch her....butt",he said nervously. Angie stopped mid chew but then quickly resumed.
"So I turn around to confront him but he looked to adorable and he apologized so it was okay.",I said glancing at Raphael from the corner of my eye. He looked so embarrassed that I grabbed his hand under the table. He looked surprised but then intertwined our fingers. His hand was bigger than mine and very warm. I squeezed it gently.

"Well that's an interesting story",Angie said. Brad started laughing and I laughed with him. Raphael started rubbing circles on my hand. I smiled at him and he smiled back. We ate our food it was delicious. We all thanked Angie and she just blushed saying it was ok. Angie and Brad asked Raphael about his family and his future. Raphael lived with dad and little brother. His mom had left them (just like my dad had) and never even called.

That was 15 years ago after Micky (Raphael's brother) was born. His father worked as an engineer so they were good on money. I like to think his brother is a badass cause he is. He's so freaking cute and funny just like his brother. We all go to the same highschool but we don't really hang out with the freshman. Raphael told them he wanted to be a writer and I was kind of surprised. I couldn't really think of him as a writer. More like a football player.

We were done eating and I got up to clear the plates. Brad and Angie took Raphael to the living room and Niko stayed behind. He looked up when I came back to get the rest of the plates.
"Raphael?",he said eyebrow raised.
"What about him?",I said a bit too defensive.
"Well isn't he the guy you "almost" fucked in the bathroom",he said harshly.
"I don't believe that's any of your fucking business",I said through gritted teeth.
"Not mine but maybe Angie's",he said standing up and walking over to me.

"Do you really want to play that card?",I said staring up at him as he came to stand right in front of me.
"Maybe",he whispered.
"Katy its time to go",Angie yelled from the living room. I quickly backed away and walked to the living room. I can't deal with Niko right now. He means absolutely nothing to me I reminded myself. He played Brad's sister and who knows how many other girls. He's only trying to get into your pants I repeated in my head.

Raphael grabbed my hand and led me out the door. When we were in the elevator he pushed me up against the wall. He pressed his lips against mine roughly. I immediately responded opening my mouth to give him access. He kissed me passionately his tongue caressing mine. I moaned softly into his mouth but he quickly pulled away when the elevator doors open. I stood there surprised and wanting more. He grabbed my hand though and led me to his car without saying one word until we were in the car.

"Sorry",he blurted.
