I never thought I'd miss it so much. I would miss the sun, the long summer nights and the beautiful sunrise and sunsets. My mother and I had lived in Beverly Hills for hundreds of years, maybe more and now she wants us to move to some deserted town called Forks for some lowlife that she met.

As if that wasn't bad enough, after I did my research I found out that the town is like seriously behind with everything, the electronics, clothing lines, even the car brands. "Mom this is so unfair!" I whined showing her the rainy town on my laptop screen.

"They don't even have Von Dutch- everybody has Von Dutch. It's like the one thing you can find everywhere yet they don't have it, that's a bad sign." My mother shook her head in disbelief as she placed the laptop on the coffee table.

"Don't you have enough designer in your closet?" I cocked my eyebrow and placed my hand on my waist. "There is no such thing as enough, how am I supposed to stay on top of trends~" I threw myself across her lap, pouting.

She stroked my hair and gave me a kiss on the head. "You'll live." I groaned and rolled my eyes. "I think I've spoiled you too much, you're over a hundred years old, yet you're throwing tantrums like a toddler." She grinned while sitting back in the couch.

"You did not spoil me too much, infact I don't think you spoiled me enough." I grinned as I stared up at her with doll eyes. "They don't work on me darling, I know all your little tricks." She stated as she booped my nose. I rolled my eyes and groaned.

"This Charlie guy better be worthed because I'm loosing out on many opportunities." There was a uncomfortable silence until I cleared my throat. "Did you at least contact my school?" I asked bringing my laptop to me using magic.

"Stop that, and yes I did." She scolded as she smacked my arm. "It wasn't even a spell, just simple manipulation." I sighed as I pushed my reading glasses on. "3,120 people?! That's almost the amount of students that attend our school. Can't you see how ridiculous this is?!"

I slam my laptop closed and looked at her. "Hey, a smaller crowd won't kill you." Mom informed with sass. "Not unless the rain or lack of designer clothing do it first." I sighed. "Well whether you like it or not, we have a flight to catch on Wednesday."

"I'm going to bed, good night." I kiss her cheek and jogged upstairs. "Good night, honey!" Mom yelled behind me. I went to my room and got changed before sitting on my bed.

I opened my laptop and joined a group call with my friends. "Hey guys!" I waved as I grabbed a few packages of snacks. "Hey Kim!" Mari and Tilly waved. "You still going to Forks?" Mari sighed.

"Yeah, I tried to y'know bribe mom, but she didn't budge." I muttered as I started eating my chocolate covered pretzels. "Well don't forget about us, will you?" Tilly said with a sad smile.

I held up my arm covered in Pandora bracelets and they did the same. "Best friends for life." I grinned looking at them. "Best friends for life!" They repeated before we all logged off.

The next day I stood on my balcony watching the sunrise, I sighed and watched quietly before closing my curtains. It was another day closer to moving and it's not like I had any other choice; It was just my mom and I.

My father died during a long time ago, as in the day I was born. He wasn't really someone we talked about, but when we did we'd end up in tears. You see my mom and I are hybrids; both witch and vampire.

My mom was born back in the 1400s and back then witches weren't exactly celebrities. My father was a witch-hunter, infact his entire family was.

All the males in his family took up the job and he wanted to continue this tradition not because he wanted to make his family proud, but because of his strong hate for witchcraft.
