For a moment Olive zoned out, and she didn't realize she was in fact zoned out. Until The great old one Ral once again rose from his seat and spoke.

"It would be no ball, if there is no dancing, therefore I would like to invite you to take on the ballroom dance floor. The music is as always, by our great beloved Elijah Sage"

With his last words, music began playing In the ballroom, and quite a lot of people went to the dance floor. Olive briefly considered asking Eli if he wanted to dance. She had never been to a ball before, and wanted to even just slightly enjoy her time here. She did however decide against asking Eli, he was in the midst of a conversation, and considering their history it wasn't a good idea. Then as if he had been reading her thoughts Ray approached the group once again. This time only looking at Olive. He bowed his head down slightly and reached his hand out.

"Would you like to dance?" he said, then looked back up at her. Olive was shocked and didn't quite know what to do, she was about to turn her head to look at Eli, Ava, and Zed for advice when Ray chuckled.

"Hey...you don't have to ask for their permission, I'm asking you if you would like to dance, not them," He said smiling sweetly at her.

"I would very much like to dance," Olive said and took Ray's hand. If Olive could have seen Eli's face, there is a great chance that she would not have said yes to Ray's offer to dance with her. Eli looked extremely mad, Ray noticed this and smiled at him, to annoy him even further.

As they were walking out onto the dance floor, Olive realized that she had not a single clue about how to dance in a ballroom.

"I'm sorry, I must have forgotten, I don't know how to dance," Olive said as they reached the edge of the dance floor.

"Don't worry, I do," Ray said and wrapped one of his arms around Olive's waist and put another on her shoulder. He guided her out to the dance floor. Ray continued to lead her around the dance floor flawlessly. Olive couldn't help but smile. It was just as much fun as she had imagined. After a little while the music slowed down a bit. Ray decided that this would be a great time to talk to Olive, as they slowly danced around.

"You know, I think I see it now," he said and smiled

"What do you see" Olive said and smiled back at him.

"You have spent too much time with the ones of Orn - you're acting just like them, asking for permission," he said and laughed a tiny bit.

"I think you're mistaken, I'm as free as can be," She said

"Right that's why you have been tense all night until I took you out dancing," Ray said and slowly spun Olive around with his hand.

"Maybe I was just bored until you came along," she said teasingly. Ray laughed a bit and held his grip around her waist slightly tighter.

"In all seriousness tho. You should stay with them, they're gonna keep you safe. Just don't become like them. There is no point in surviving if you're not gonna be living life" he said, still with a smile on his face. Olive nodded to this. She hadn't thought about it before but he made a good point.

Suddenly his facial expression changed as he looked in the direction of Cam.

"Something big is gonna happen soon," he said, looking back at Olive.

"How do you know?" Olive asked, slightly worried.

"I can see it, and you would be able to as well if you knew how to look... Here I'll teach you" he said, and switched positions with her, so that she was now looking at Cam and Ray was standing with his back to him.
