"What the hell is going on?" Bakugou asked as he and everyone else stood up.

"I don't know but I don't think it's anything good." Aizawa responded as there was another loud explosion.

Bakugou ran out into the hallway and looked out the window in shock. "Well that's just great!"

"What is it?" Aizawa asked.

"Someone brought the barrier down and now the perimeter is swarming with decoms." Bakugou replied.

"That's not good. How secure are the doors?"

"I'm not sure." Todoroki said as he came out of the classroom.

"Whoever did this must've known we were here. There would be no other reason for someone to bring the barrier down." Bakugou said as he continued looking out the window.

"There has to be a couple hundred of those things down there. What are we gonna do?" Uraraka asked frantically.

"I'm trying to figure that out. Right now I think it would be best for everyone to remain calm." Aizawa instructed.

"I think the best course of action would be to create some sort of distraction for those things so we can get everyone out of the back of the building." Izuku suggested.

"In order to do that we'd basically have to sacrifice someone because of how many there are; and I won't put any of mine or Vlad's students in that kind of situation. We'll need to think of something else." Aizawa said sternly.

Awase walked out of the classroom with a dull look on his face. Kendo noticed and looked at him with a concerned look on her face.

"Are you alright? You've been acting weird since the first explosion went off." She asked.

Awase looked at her and then down at the ground. "I'll be the distraction. While I'm distracting them, you guys book it for the back of the building."

"Did you not hear what I just said?" Aizawa said bitterly.

Awase looked at Aizawa with a look of fear and determination. That's when Aizawa knew something wasn't right.

"What's with that look?"

Awase sighed and lifted up his shirt sleeve to reveal a somewhat fresh bite mark just above the elbow. This made everyone freeze in shock.

"When did that happen?" Tetsutetsu asked in a panic.

"It happened when our camp was overrun and I tripped trying to run. I just didn't notice it happened because of the rush of what was happening. I discovered it while we were in the middle of playing truth or dare. I only noticed it though because I started sweating really bad and it began to hurt. I didn't wanna freak any of you out though which is why I didn't say anything and I was just gonna leave and fix the problem myself but that's about when the first explosion went off." Awase explained as he held onto his arm.

"But, you don't have to serve as a distraction. We can just cut it off. That worked for me." Kendo said as she tried not to cry.

Awase looked at Kendo and shook his head sadly. "It's been too long. It's been over twelve hours so the virus has already spread too far. I'm honestly surprised I've lasted this long without noticing anything. To me it's a miracle because that means I have the chance to be heroic one last time."

Kendo looked down at the floor and began crying. If he went through with this, then he would be the third person Kendo had lost in the last twelve-ish hours. She wasn't ready for it.

"Kendo." Awase said softly as he put his hand on her shoulder. "I have to do this. Even if I don't, you're gonna have to kill me and I don't want to die without trying to make sure you guys can get out safely. Please, don't cry. After all, this is what heroes do all the time. Sacrificing themselves for the greater good. To help as many people as possible."
