The weekend arrived, bringing with it the anticipated meeting with Aga's mother, at the sprawling Muhlach family mansion. The air was charged with a mix of excitement and nerves as Aga and I prepared for the encounter. The additional presence of the wedding planner added a layer of formality to the occasion.

As we stepped into the grand foyer of the mansion, I couldn't help but marvel at the opulence that surrounded us. They had spared no expense in creating a residence that exuded wealth and sophistication.

Aga, ever the playful one, as we head inside, decided to take it up a notch. "Alam mo mas gusto ni Mama kapag makikita niya tayong sweet. It's about time we show off our couple vibes, don't you think?"

I arched an eyebrow, suspecting his hidden agenda. "We don't need to put on a show, Aga. Let's keep it real."

He flashed a mischievous smile. "Real, of course. But a little extra sweetness won't hurt. It's all part of the charm."

I sighed, "Fine, but let's keep it subtle. I don't want your mom thinking we're rehearsing for a movie."

Aga chuckled, "Subtle it is, Babes."

As we waited for Aga's mom and the wedding planner to join us, Aga continued with his playful banter, occasionally reaching for my hand, so I smacked it.

He winced, holding his hand as if I had just given it a good whack. "Aray, Babes, no need to be so violent. I was just trying to be sweet."

I rolled my eyes, "Sweet doesn't always involve hand-holding every five damn minutes. Let's keep it natural, ano ka ba."

Aga grinned, rubbing his supposedly injured hand. "Pero, a good romantic gesture wouldn't hurt. Maybe a peck on the cheek when Mama walks in?"

I shot him a look of disbelief. "Aga, we agreed on subtle, not a scene from a telenovela."

He feigned innocence, placing a hand over his heart. "Just trying to make Mama proud. After all, she did mention wanting cute grandkids."

I scoffed, "We're not even married yet, and you're already talking about grandkids?"

Aga chuckled, "Hey, it's good to plan ahead, right?"

"Subukan mo, makikita mo talaga." I warned him.

"Sabi ko nga, tatahimik na. 'To naman eh."

Sakto his mom and the wedding planner came in. Aga then transitioned from a playful to a composed host.

"Hi, Ma." He stood up so am I to give her a beso.

Ms. Grey, the wedding planner, extended her hand, and we exchanged polite greetings. The air in the room seemed to shift as we settled into a more formal atmosphere.

Aga's mom gestured for us to all sit in the elegantly furnished living room for us to start.

"Lana gave her ideas for your wedding." His mom started making me want to raise my brows, knowing Lana had quite the reputation for her extravagant taste.

"Oh, that's lovely," I responded diplomatically, trying not to betray my surprise. "Lana must have some wonderful suggestions." I kept a polite smile on my face, not wanting to cast a shadow on the beginning of what should be a joyous occasion.

"But let's delve into the details of your vision. What are your thoughts on the venue? Lana mentioned a few high-profile options."

Aga and I exchanged a glance, silently acknowledging Lana's penchant for grandeur. Naghintay muna ako ng ilang sandali bago sumagot, "We appreciate Lana's suggestions, but we were thinking of a venue with natural beauty, perhaps a garden or a place with a picturesque view. Something timeless."
