𝓐LPHARD BLACK WAS NINETEEN when he fled his home. It had caused quite a shock to erupt throughout the house of black. Upon hearing whispers of a dark wizard on the rise, and how his family were going to fully support him, he took off in a hurry, grabbing a charmed extendable bag to stuff his belongings and inheritance from his deceased father and live a life away from any pureblood mania.

It was summer when he arrived in Greece, he received a letter from his younger brother, Cygnus, begging him to come back. He reread the letter in a local coffee shop, shaking away his tears, before beginning to write back a letter saying he couldn't bare to. He paused for a moment before adding towards the end, that he was more than welcome to come with him, away from their family. Alphard never received a letter back. He assumed his elder sister had something to do with it, but didn't want to think too much on it.

This very coffee shop was where he met his wife, Anika. She was a waitress, serving coffee and breakfast to customers in her dad's shop. Alphard fell in love from the moment he caught sight of her. The way she swung her hips to the soft jazz music that played in the background, the way her eyes would crinkle and her nose would slightly scrunch up as she smiled. He seemed to be in a trance as she approached him, politely asking what he would like to order.

He broke out of his trance and looked away, flustered, before hearing her melodic laugh as she repeated her question. Not knowing any Greek, he tried speaking in English, but the words came out in tumbling, jumbling half sentences.

She laughed yet again, before walking away and coming back with a coffee and some bread. He muttered a quick thank you, still visibly flustered and tried handing her 6 sickles to which she raised her brows and placed her warm hand on his, pushing the money away as this was a muggle town.

They both jumped back slightly, the feeling of electricity coursing through their veins from when their skin had made contact.

Two years later, they got married and had a small ceremony with Anika's dad and her friends, and some of his friends that he had made during his time in Greece. He had invited his brother Cygnus but he never came.

They moved to France with their 2 year old daughter, Axelia and had another daughter later that year, Anjela. They then had their only son, Altair, 5 years later.

After hearing the news of the death of Voldemort, the family of five stayed in France for a couple more years for the sake of their own safety, and decided they should move to England, causing Axelia and Anjela to have to transfer from Beauxbatons to Hogwarts.

Axelia was completely enraged at the idea of having to complete her final year of schooling away from her friends and in a completely different country, but she softened up to it after seeing the excitement from her younger siblings. Anjela couldn't care less, sure she was going to miss her friends, but they could just meet up every other weekend, and she was excited to start her fifth year in Hogwarts after hearing the tales her dad would tell her and her siblings when they were younger. Altair was overjoyed, claiming the French were too uptight and he couldn't wait to join as a first year. One thing all three siblings were looking forward to, was surprising their cousins, Sirius and Regulus.

Anjela tried to forget about a messy haired boy with glasses for the rest of her summer, but she just couldn't. she tried to forget the way he had caressed the back of her hand with his thumb as they walked hand in hand on the beach, she tried to forget the way he would look up into her almost silver eyes with his kind, hazel ones. She even tried to forget the way he would run his hands through her long, wavy black hair, pulling her closer as they shared kisses. His soft, plump pink lips-

THUD

Anjela groaned as she fell off her bed, too engrossed in her chain of thoughts that she hadn't even realised when she started to slip off. She shot up and slapped herself in the face lightly, reminding herself that she didn't even know the boy's name, and that it was just a summer fling, he had most likely forgotten about her by now.

"MES PETITES CHÉRIES!" her father's voice rang, "COME DOWN FOR BREAKFAST!"

A chorus of "coming!" and "coming papa!" was heard followed by thumps of footsteps rushing down the stairs.

"How many days until we get to go to Hogwarts Anjie?" asked Altair, stuffing his breakfast in his mouth as if he were a machine, unable to contain his excitement.

"I don't know Al, ask Lia." She did know, it was 2 days, but she was too busy pondering to immerse herself in conversation at the moment.

"I made your favourite kori mou." Anika spoke up, talking to Axelia, who looked up, smiling gratefully as she chewed her food.

Their mother smiled before turning around and stealing some food from her husband's plate, who huffed in mock annoyance before smiling at her lovingly.
