Adrian deftly finished zipping up Elena's dress, his fingers lingering for a moment longer than necessary. He then moved closer, his lips just inches from her ear, and in a low, husky voice, he asked, "Are you afraid of me?"

Elena's breath hitched as she felt the warmth of his breath sending shivers down her spine. The tingling sensation enveloped her, and her eyes widened in surprise. Her ears, already flushed from the proximity, turned an even deeper shade of red.

Adrian's gaze held a mixture of intensity and curiosity, making the air between them thick with anticipation. The question hung in the moment, creating a tension that was palpable.

Elena lowered her head, her voice stuttering, "Y-y-yes." She tightly closed her eyes, bracing for an angry response, a reaction ingrained by the intimidating men in the main house who disapproved of women expressing their opinions.

Adrian, however, looked at her trembling, delicate figure and noticed her red ears. Understanding her fear, he spoke gently into her ear, "Do not be afraid of me. I told you I won't do anything you don't want."

His words hung in the air, a promise that carried both reassurance and respect. It was a moment that marked a shift in their dynamic, setting the tone for an understanding that transcended the norms she had known.

Adrian held the door open, allowing Elena to step out first, her cheeks still tinted pink. They walked together, leaving the clothing store behind, and headed towards the grocery store at Petunia's request.

As they strolled, Petunia mentioned that Elena should also pick up some undergarments. Elena hesitated for a moment, then suggested, "Why don't we go together, Petunia?"

However, Petunia, with a mischievous glint in her eyes, thought otherwise. "No, dear. I've got some things to take care of. Why don't you go with Adrian? It'll be quicker, and I'll catch up with you later."

Exiting the clothing store, Petunia and Elena strolled toward the grocery store. Petunia, eyeing the household section, mentioned she needed something for their home.

Petunia: "We should pick up a few things for the house while we're here, Elena."

Petunia: "Oh, and don't forget, you might need some new undergarments, dear."

Elena hesitated, prompting Petunia that they should go together.

Just as Petunia was about to agree, a cunning thought struck her. Recalling the dressing room incident, she decided to play matchmaker.

Petunia: "Actually, Elena, I have some matters to deal with. Why don't you go with Adrian? He's right over there."

Elena resisted, suggesting they could shop for undergarments another day.

Petunia, with a knowing look, highlighted Adrian's busy schedule and the potential difficulty of arranging another outing.

Elena, attempting to find excuses, expressed embarrassment and the fear of getting lost.

Elena: "I'm a bit embarrassed, and what if I get lost? I don't even know where to buy them."

Petunia: "Don't worry, dear. Adrian will be there for you. He won't let you get lost."

Despite Elena's logical denials, Petunia sensed her reluctance to be around Adrian.

Elena: "I-I really c-can't, Mama"

She pushed Elena gently towards Adrian, assuring her that he would take care of her.

Petunia: "Go on, dear. Adrian won't mind, and he's right there. He'll make sure you find everything you need."
