Sorry there is no indentions but I value my sanity more than this chapter. Anyways tomorrow I'm going to be getting my Ouran High School Host Club box set and I'm kinda scared bc it's big considering the fact it's the whole series (18 books in total) and I'm just thinking about if someone finds it first.
Currently listing to The Water is Fine,
- Starlight.

I shouldn't have been surprised, I really shouldn't. It made sense that Afton was behind this, and it made the pieces fit. Heck, we'd all but established that this was all his fault! If he'd gotten into Ballora and was somehow getting her to do horrible things (while ultimately framing Moon for it), that would explain why she'd been acting so weird lately. The only thing that didn't make sense was how she was able to do so much. I obviously hadn't programmed her with the ability to force the others to do her bidding, and I doubted she'd learned how to do it herself. The only reasonable explanation was a third person... and I had a hunch on who it was.
My eyes shut tightly as I tried to sort it all out. There was one person I knew who was effortlessly tech smart, spent most of his time unmonitored, and had suddenly proven himself a completely different person than I'd originally thought. It seemed clear who was making all this happen, but... I'd spent so much time with him. He was practically my son. If he really was one of Afton's followers, did our time together mean nothing to him? How long had he been faking? And was he brainwashed, or was he doing it all willingly?
"Y/N?" Freddy said. "What is it?"
I didn't want to tell him. Freddy had loved Gregory since that first night, when the whole gang but him had been corrupted. How would he react? Would he be mad?
All these questions made my head hurt, and I decided the responsible thing to do would be to tell Freddy everything.
I pulled out the crumpled-up piece of paper from my back pocket and looked down at it. "It's... Gregory. U-um, he's... How do I put this? Gosh... H-he... I think he might be...."
Freddy was being patient, as he usually was, but this time his patience was killing me. He looked so calm, and with just a few words I could completely ruin it. We could never seem to catch a break nowadays, was it really worth admitting my suspicions?
Of course it is! I thought. If I'm right, that means Gregory has-
I stopped myself before I could finish that thought, and blurted, "Freddy, I don't think Gregory is who he says he is."
Freddy's reaction was immediate. His ears twitched (not in a good way), and his confusion was written all over his face. "What do you mean?" he asked slowly.
. . .
I'd told him everything I knew, and all of my suspicions as well. When I had finished speaking, he looked torn. I think one part of him was trying to stay on my side and be supportive – my evidence was also unfortunately good – but the other part of him clearly hated it. He was probably asking himself the same questions I'd been asking myself moments before, and that was more than enough to make him question everything else.
After he got over his initial shock, we gathered our thoughts and made a plan, Moon included. I ripped a piece of paper out of my sketchbook and swiped my pencil out of my hair, then proceeded to ask them both what we all knew.
"We know about the soul remnant within Moon, Foxy, and I," Freddy said.
"We know Ballora is not to be trusted," Moon added. "And neither is Gregory until further notice."
