A/N: I'm so sorry for the late update. I did not mean to take so long. Um, enjoy your reading! 😬
Ok so the tooth I broke last time I had glued back on with TEMPORARY glue. Anyways that apparently flew over everyone's head and I got the heads up from the dentist. And today I was minding my own business eating some beautiful garlic bread when all of the sudden...drum roll please...the part of my tooth fell out! Yay! So now I still have to do stuff tomorrow even tho I am suffering and in pain. (this wasn't even ten min ago btw) Also I sped read The Daughter of the Moon Goddess and it was rly good so now I'm onto the second book.
Hoping to find something to drown out my tears,
Starlight.

"You realize the trouble I've gone through—and the sleep I've lost—trying to get you to come with me, right?" I asked, smiling despite my seriousness.
"Yeah, and I appreciate it. I do. I'm just excited, is all. I can't believe it's Christmas already!"
My smile widened at the sound of their voice. "Me neither. But stop jittering, you'll get even more damaged."
"I'm not dama-"
"I was talking about my car," I clarified jokingly, enjoying the moment of lightheartedness.
We arrived at the Pizzaplex shortly thereafter. "You know how to get in from here. Make sure not to leave Parts and Service until I say so. Thumbs up?"
"Thumbs up." The car door was opened and closed before I knew it.
I sighed, thinking about how things would be different once we were in the Pizzaplex. That was okay, though. There was plenty of time for things to settle, and I was willing to wait. Especially since waiting was still my only option.
I remembered last week, how getting into my car with my crutches had been a struggle. Getting out would probably be even more difficult. Driving to work could take me an entire forty-five minutes, as opposed to the typical fifteen.
Thankfully, I made it out of my car faster than usual. It was evened out by the number of things I had to manage to carry, but my excitement gave me the energy boost I needed.
Because it was Christmas day, the Pizzaplex was closed to the public. As an employee—even though it was highly discouraged—I could be at work today. And I wouldn't even feel bad about not spending time with my parents because I'd see them later that evening.
For now, my priority was to get inside.
"Freddy!" I screamed, seeing him in the doorway within seconds of leaving my car.
I went as fast as I could to get to where he was, and once he was within my reach I dropped my things and hugged him.
"Y/N, I'm so glad you could make it!" he exclaimed, holding me tightly in his arms. "Would you like a ride?"
I kissed him and said, "Yes, please."
He picked up my bags with one hand and then bent over and helped me onto his back with the other. It reminded me so much of the time I'd sat on his shoulders all those months ago.
And I still feel like the queen of the world.
He carried me to Rockstar Row, where the long-awaited gift exchange began.
