𝚗𝚊𝚛𝚛𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚎:

A FEW WEEKS HAD PASSED and today was the day he was going to Artemis' pop up show only an hour from where he was. Him and Connor were staying in a hotel down there considering the show started kinda late. Currently Brady was pacing around his room trying to find something to wear while Connor sat in his bed watching tiktok on his phone.

"Brady come on dude just wear whatever you would normally wear she's not gonna judge you." Connor stood up walking over to his brother who sighed

"Yeah but she's gonna be seeing us after and she doesn't even know that because it's a surprise so I wanna look good" Brady said turning around to look at his brother who sighed before stepping in front of Brady and rummaging through his closet

"Here put this on. We've gotta get going if we wanna get there in time for the show." Connor responded, handing Brady an outfit he had picked out. Brady looked at the loose black shirt and jeans with a skeptically but put it on nonetheless, throwing a hoodie on over it since the air was kinda chilly outside. Brady and Connor drove all the way to the venue listening to a couple of the girls songs on the way before stepping out of the car.

The two boys walked up to the venue noticing people starting to file in and tried their hardest to get as close to the front as they could. The ended up in the third row with a good view of the stage where Artemis would be performing. About 30 minutes after they arrived Artemis walked out on stage wearing a beautiful red dress and gold heels. Brady couldn't help but stare at the girl as she sat down in a stool with her guitar strapped across her chest

"Hi guys!" The crowd roared in response to the girl making her smile and wave to the crowd. Brady had never answered her when she asked if he was coming so she was a bit upset but put on a smile and went out on stage anyways

"Today i'm going to sing a couple of my songs that have already been released and i'm also going to sing an unreleased song that I just finished up today as a little gift to you guys" The blonde girls smile was contagious as the crowd cheered even more, making Brady's face light up in return. Artemis performed a couple of her most known songs before she started strumming a unknown melody on her guitar

"This one is titled beautiful stranger" Artemis smiled beginning to hum a tune before the piano behind her kicked into gear, the lyrics to the song flowing beautifully out of the girls mouth

"Beautiful stranger sitting right there
Looked up at me and my bright curly hair
Looked back for a second didn't want to be rude
I tend to fall in love on the tube" Artemis sang the melody of the song as if she had done it a million times, the chords flying off of her guitar without a hitch. Brady smiled at the lyrics wondering who the girl was singing about

"Hmm, mmh. Beautiful stranger sitting right there. Reading the newspaper, stuck to his chair
I swore that he smiled and I felt my heart drop
Heard the doors open, came to my stop
Hmm, mmh" Brady smiled suddenly realizing she was singing about him, remembering the time she had called him and as a joke he picked up the newspaper his dad had been reading and started pretending to read it as well.
