Mitsuki walked through the halls of her aunt's estate with a somber face, filled with nothing but pain and self loathing. She was supposed to be the oldest amongst the four of them yet she couldn't even be brave enough to stand by her youngest sister's side.

She envied Yuki for her courage something she truly lacked in that area. Instead of protecting Y/n she dressed her face with a joyful smile and acted unbothered, silently hoping that she could stand beside the two of them. The floor boards creaked underneath her feet as she trekked through the empty lonely halls that echoed with the silent cries of Yuna.

The poor girl could never hide her feeling just like her twin except she like Mitsuki hated confrontation and she would rather stay on the sidelines. Mitsuki couldn't help but remember what happened not too long ago. After the dinner with Y/n's newly betrothal, the Kamo family left rather pleased with themselves as they saw Y/n to fit into their expectations rather nicely. Madam Sakura cheered in glee after finally letting the news sink in.

"Haha Yes thank the Gods for this finally something good has come from taking you girls in." The red haired elderly woman exclaimed in excitement, Y/n had left immediately after the dinner to her room in devastation with Yuki escorting a crying Yuna to their shared room, probably tucking her in. Mitsuki stared at her aunt with her blue eyes with a look of disbelief.

"Why does this please you so much? What do you have to gain from this?" The words without control rushed out of her rosey lips as she continued to face her aunt. A wicked smile appeared on the older woman's painted lips as she simply playfully scoffed at the question, as if they held no true weight to her. "Do you know the amount of benefits that our family can acquire from being associated with just a jujutsu sorcerer let alone one from the three major clans?" She countered waiting for an answer, Mitsuki shook her head whilst staring into her eyes that reflected her own. "Well I will tell you this much, a lot will come our way. For one we would be the envy of the whole region and we would gain respect and support from the society and the Kamo family." Taking out a pipe, Madam Sakura lit it up and inhaled a large amount of smoke before releasing it letting the smoke blow into Mitsuki's face.

Covering her mouth with the end of her sleeve to avoid inhaling any of the tobacco smoke. "Then why was it that this family does not benefit from the fact that my sisters and I are_____ from what I have acquired______ from the Zen'in clan?" Mitsuki's sass was muffled but the older woman did not need to strain her ears to hear her. Lightly tapping the pipe, ash fell into the ash tray that was on the table, "That's simply for three major reasons, one is because you were all born girls and the Zen'ins well the Major clans don't consider women strong or capable enough to do anything except for birthing new children, Two is because Y/n was the only one born with a Cursed Technique that is relatively powerful already while you three were born with cursed energy that doesn't even allow you to see curses let alone exorcise them and lastly was because of the fact that your Father was an illegitimate child of the former leader of the Zen'in clan meaning you four are nothing more than expendable pawns in their sick game." Her face turned grim at the mention of your name before resuming to smoke her pipe.

Mitsuki honestly felt pain in hearing this, so that clan decided to auction her sister to another clan even though they don't even consider them family. Madam Sakura blissfully ignored the distress that her niece showed on her face, taking another drag of smoke she continued her verbal assault. "Imagine my sister's surprise when she married your father only to find out he was never considered a Zen'in to begin with, even though he was the first born of the head of the clan." Shock was evident all over Mitsuki's face at this knowledge. Her eyes widened in horror at the single thought that passed her mind, she tried to shake her head to remove the thought from her mind. Tears began to build up in her eyes as she forced herself to gain composure. Looking back at her aunt, she glared at her with the most hateful and disgusted face her peaceful visage could possibly make. Sakura was shocked by this and even dropped pipe on the floor, 'She looks as if she will kill me if I continue to speak!' Sakura panicked as she faced her eldest niece who was practically seething in anger, the same niece who was the fight breaker of the family, who was calm and an humorous person_____ was no longer there instead in her place was a beast.
