Chapter 18

"Okay why did you call me here, Zen'in-san?" A man with short brown hair asked as he entered into a spacious room, inside was a man with long black hair who was being fanned by a female servant. The man being questioned just simply took a swig of his sake as he flicked his hand stopping the servant and dismissing her altogether, as she left with much haste he finally addressed the brown haired man.

"Please, Kamo! Call me Kenzo! We have known each other since we were little! Loosen up with the manners." The man, Kenzo, slurred out as he addressed his long time acquaintance, the other seemed not to take kindly to Kenzo's playfulness as he sent an attack towards the black haired man which he deflected with a simple flick of his wrist. "I don't like it when useless drunkards waste my time, Kenzo-san." Kamo mockingly humoured the drunk idiot who only gave him a sloppy smile in return to the insult before he sank deeper into his large zabuton, "Hey don't mock my name, after all you're fucking named after a cooking ingredient." The drunk teased as he noticed that the Kamo grew angrier by the second in his presence, did he care, not at all in fact this interaction will be long forgotten by dusk. "I am tired of your nonsensical tries at a civil conversation, tell me why do I have to put up with your presence after our clans' last deal fell through." Kenzo just rolled his eyes at the audacity of the man in front of him,

"First off, it isn't even about that and secondly, your clan members were the ones to stray from the agreement and even at the end of it, the man is now engaged to the eldest child of that family so what's the problem." Kenzo stated as he lazily scanned the head of the Kamo clan with his blue eyes, "If it were your father, the Kamo clan would have a new daughter in law that has cursed energy and not a useless peasant." The Kamo spoke as he crossed his hands and mocked the man's incompetence, the ravenett's eyes narrowed as he frowned slightly before taking another gulp of his alcohol. "Yes that is true but looks like I am the new head of the clan not my father, Nori, and besides as I said previously that's not why I called you here." Kenzo's voice held nothing but authority and venom causing the brunett to flinch at it, cold sweat began to form on his brow as the room became suffocating.

Suddenly the shoji from which the brunett, Nori, came from opened and a maid with brown hair tied in pigtails walked in and went into a dogeza. "My lord, the head of the Gojo clan, Gojo Ryouto, has arrived and wishes for your audience." The servant said in a meek and shy voice, Nori simply tsked as he muttered along the lines of how disrespectful the Zen'in clan was. "Bring him in, the matter I wish to speak of also involves the Gojo clan as well."

Without a word the young lady stood up from the dogeza and marched out of the room, moments later she came back followed by a tall man with white hair and sharp crystal blue eyes that rivaled the sea on a calm day in the afternoon. Like the rest of the men within the room he wore expensive clothes that showed his status, he seemed to wear a faint smile on his face as he surveyed the room looking at his two old acquaintances. "It's a pleasure to see you Zen'in Kenzo and Kamo Nori." The brunett simply nodded his head at the slightly bowed twenty year old as the ravenett got up from his seat and jumped on his friend, which caused them to fall to the ground. Nori simply shook his head as he massaged his forehead in annoyance whilst the two men simply chuckled on in humour of the situation.

After the warm greeting between Ryouto and Kenzo, the three heads all sat down as the maid came back with a tray of delicacies curtsey of the Zen'in clan. "Okay time to discuss a pending issue that seems to be the talk of the empire as of late. Ryoumen Sukuna." Kenzo started off with the most pending subject amongst them, Ryouto hummed in agreement as he broke the silence by speaking first. "He has been destroying villages that are under the Jujutsu Society's protection left and right. With that he is slowly destroying the foundation of trust amongst the people, it's become so bad that the emperor wishes to meet with all major jujutsu clans in the next coming months to discuss how to deal with this nonsense."
