*I honestly have no idea how to start this chapter so it's probably gonna be a little bad whoops*
Louie froze. Everyone was staring at him.
"Lad," Scrooge began, "what's going on?" Louie stood up and turned around. As he expected, Loyal was right behind him. Louie knew that this was an accident, but he was still annoyed that this was how his family was going to find out.
"Loyal, you can take your physical form." Louie sighed. And with that Louie's shadow walked out of the wall and became a black copy of Louie. Loyal blinked his eyes a couple of times, Louie figured he was getting used to the light. Loyal looked just like Louie, except he was covered in black shadow goop and his eyes glowed red.
"Hi, I'm Loyal." He murmured, giving a small wave. The room looked as hostile as it felt. Louie glanced around, Dewey seemed the most calm. However, that was because Dewey already knew about Loyal, and Evo. Dewey was glancing around as well, a hint of panic in his eyes was all that seemed out of place.
"Louie," Lena finally began, "shadows are not to be trusted." Louie's unease grew. If Lena, expert on shadows, didn't trust Loyal, the chances the rest of his family would fall apart even more. Lena's eyes turned blue, transforming into her magical form. Louie glanced at Dewey again, Dewey was frozen staring at Lena, his mouth drooping open. Webby was doing nothing to stop Lena, if anything Webby was getting ready for a fight as well.
His Uncle Donald yelled something, but it was hard to understand. Della must have understood though because they all started arguing. Scrooge and Della fighting that Loyal was dangerous and untrustworthy. He still couldn't understand Donald. Based on Beakley's words, however, they said that they shouldn't judge too quickly, give Louie time to explain, and find out who's even at fault here.
Lena shot a ball of blue fire at Loyal, who jumped into the wall once more in fear. However, in Lena's haste she shot the fireball carelessly, and it ended up hitting Louie. The burning sensation didn't last long, as the fire disappeared, but he felt the intense burns that it had left. You could tell Lena had no intention of hitting Louie, because even after the burns faded, Louie felt another type of magic wrap around him. It scratched at his face until he began to bleed. Continuing to wrap itself around him until there was no escape. Louie was on his knees, wailing in pain. The magic wrapped itself around his beak, shutting it. Everything hurt. He heard muffled arguments. Lena, Webby, and Violet were running out to the hallways to look for Loyal. Huey attempting to break the adults argument. Louie's vision began to blur. Tears and blood blinding him. He closed his eyes, feeling more warm tears fall down his face. His face was bleeding and numb. He felt a buzzing sensation inside himself. He felt weak. Louie began to go limp, falling over as the magic began to let go. He fell sideways onto someone, he tried to see who it was but he didn't even have the strength to open his eyes. The last thing he heard was someone calling out his name.
LOUIE!

FanfictionProbably gonna be some angst in here. Listen I'm not the best writer ever so you'll have to excuse some of my bad grammar. All the characters belong to Disney, don't yell at me. And the cover art isn't mine either.
