Dewey's P.O.V.

I crawl over to Louie, and start hugging him as hard as I can without possibly hurting him. He smiles. I let him go as Huey makes it over to us.

"Are you alright, Louie?" Huey asks. Louie nods, a bit hesitantly. He yawns. He shouldn't be too tired, he's been asleep since dinner last night. He blinks a couple times before hugging Huey. Huey smiles and happily embraces Louie. When they part Huey is only staring at the scars on Louie's face. He can't seem to look away, and I can't blame him. It was weird to see Louie with scars. He's gotten some scars from the adventures, but he would always cover those with makeup. I don't think any of the adults know about the scars, Webby only knows because she's Webby. And she, of course, told her friends too.

"Are you hungry? I think there are some snacks in the kitchen." Huey asks. Louie seems to light up at the idea of snacks and nods quickly.

"Okay, you know how to find them!" Huey says, and Louie gets up and bolts to the kitchen. I hear him fall and consider going to help, but he gets right back up and continues a bit slower.

"Why'd you send him away?" I ask. Huey seems almost reluctant to answer, but after a moment of consideration he replies, "Didn't he seem off to you?"

"No?" I  say, almost as a question, "What seemed off to you?" I ask. He simply shakes his head and stands up.

"I think we should ask Lena about any possible side effects." He says, reaching out his hand to me. I happily take the help and begin walking to Webby's room. As we walk I can hear Donald and Scrooge yelling at each other, probably arguing about Louie's fault again. I sigh.

"You coming?" Huey asks. I nod and speed up a bit. We knock on the door to Webby's room. In a matter of seconds the door opens, no one's there though.

"Come in!" Lena haulers. Webby's doing a handstand against the wall, Violet's sitting on a beanbag reading a book of spells, and Lena is eating an entire bag of marshmallows while levitating. They all stare at us.

"Lena," Huey begins, "are there any side-effects to the spell you used on Louie?" He asks.

"Why?" Lena asks.

Can't she just answer the question!? Louie got hurt because of her, and no one cares that it was her fault! It wasn't Louie's fault it was her's! The least she can do is answer one question.

I glare at Lena, "Can't you just answer the question?"

Violet jumps in, "Well, technically Lena shouldn't have to answer questions like this until Louie is awake."

"He is awake." Huey snaps. Everything seems to stop at his words. It's common knowledge that Huey doesn't have full control of The Duke yet, and if he gets too angry a fight might break out. Huey takes a deep breath, "So will you, please, tell us if there are any side-effects?" Lena nods.

"The side-effects are possible memory loss, possible violent tendencies, being less hungry or thirsty, either too much or a lack of energy, an obsessive nature, and being louder than usual," Lena listed, "but usually people only get 3 or 4 side-effects." Huey stares at her. Webby topples out of her hand stand position, also staring.

"So if he loses his memories, is there any way to get them back?" I ask. Lena shrugs.I feel infuriated. She caused this and she doesn't even care about the consequences!?

"If he gets the memory loss side-effect it should be fine. You don't lose all of your memories, just a couple years worth." Lena rolls her eyes at the tension in the room. I feel like tackling her, and I know Huey is super close to duke-ing out, his eyes are even turning red for goodness sake! Even Webby was mad at her girlfriend, glaring at her for her insensitivity. Lena shot  their brother, Webby's cousin, Violet's best friend, and she didn't even care!

"Lena, you understand that that's not better, right!" Violet yells. Lena glances over to her, a bit shocked.

"Why do you all care so much? You never care on adventures, or when you ruin one of his schemes, or when he's being blamed for something you guys did!  Why do you care about memories of you guys being awful?! It's plain stupid." She exclaims. The room freezes.

No one could answer. They had done stuff like that, a lot, but Louie forgave them... every time. Why did he? They always did the same things and apologized, and he'd forgive them every time. The tension in the air sank into guilt. It was silent.

After a few minutes of heart breaking silence, they heard a scream from downstairs. It sounded like... Della.
