chapter 34

Austin and I are exactly one month away from our wedding and I couldn't be more exited. We planned our bachelor and bachelorette parties, separately of course. My brothers said they were going to keep him on a leash all night to make sure nothing too crazy happens... I hope they don't eat him alive.

Austin and I were testing cakes today and looking at cutlery for the wedding day. We also were picking out food for the menu which makes me a little nervous.

Lately we have been arguing a lot. Like bad too, screaming matches. I think we both are stressed and tired because we both are back at acting again. No more breaks until the wedding and I also started going back to school in person and the internship is still on the weekends, but thank God they let me work from home.

Today was supposed to be the day I was going to ask him to move in with me, but last night we got into a huge blow out so I'm too scared to ask today. Maybe i'll ask tonight or tomorrow.

I got showered and dressed and as I was curling the last piece of hair the bell rang and I heard Maddie open the door for me. She's four months pregnant now...crazy.

I had a feeling it was Austin and I guessed right when I heard a knock on my door. I know his knocks. He came in my bathroom and he had flowers in his hands. He said "hi baby, I'm sorry for the way I spoke to you last night."

We got into a fight because he feels I don't make time for him since I've gone back to school and work(s). I said "it's okay baby, you know I love you and only you and I'll try to make more time for you baby okay?" He smiled and said "okay honey."

I put down the curling iron and turned it off and ran my fingers through my curls and I "said close your eyes."

He said "okay." I sprayed my hair spray and I said "finished." He held my waist and we looked into the mirror and he said "you look beautiful like usual." I smiled and said "thank you baby."

He said "ready to go?" I said "yes I'm going to put the flowers your got me in a vase first though." He tried to kiss me and I swerved him. He looked so hurt. I said "babe I have lip liner and lip gloss on, I don't think you want that on your lips."

He said "a small kiss?" I smiled and gave him a quick peck on the lips and he rubbed in whatever lip gloss got on him. It wasn't even noticeable it just looked like he had lip balm on.

I said "okay let's go downstairs."

He followed me downstairs as I put the flowers in a cute vase and I said "okay let's go."

I put on my shoes and got my bag and we left.

First was finding the right cutlery. My mom was coming with us which makes me nervous because she catches an attitude more than I do. She never has with Austin but she has with me in front of him and I can tell he's scared of her.

We got to the place and it was a middle aged lady showing us around. Austin and I were half asleep but my mom was definitely alert. Maybe she can just do this for us. I don't even have a large array of dishes in my house. Just plain dishes and cutlery.

But what caught my eyes were these sets of Hermes dishes and cutlery. I said "mom look." She looked at the Hermes and she said "this is really nice, want these?" Austin looked back at me and he said "it's up to you baby." I said "yes I want them." He smiled and whispered in my ear "thank god now we can go." I laughed and kissed him.

When we parted I saw my mom was giving me the side eye. I held Austin's hand and walked towards her. She said "you guys can go to the car while I straighten this out." I said "okay."

We went to my car and sat inside. Austin looked into my eyes and I said "what?" He said "nothing just admiring how beautiful you are." I smiled and I said "austin, stop." He said "I don't want to lose you." I said "you won't baby, we've just been super stressed and back to work and that is not a good mix."

He said "I know, I just wish we didn't have to work as much." I said "trust me, me too, I actually enjoy school more than work." He laughed and booped my nose.

He said "can we go to the back?" I smiled and I said "yeah."

We went to the back and he caressed my face. He groaned and kissed me. I kissed back of course but I teased him by not matching his pace.

He tried to make me kiss him faster but I wouldn't budge. He pulled away and he said "teasing me?" I shrugged my shoulders and smirked.

He said "I'll tease you later." I said "are you?" He said "don't test me." I kissed him and he kissed me back. We started making out until my mom knocked on our car door. I jumped startled. I rolled down my window and she said "i've been calling you, let's go."

I said "oh okay sorry." I rolled up the window and Austin and I got in the front seats. We both took off to the cake tasting.

He said "wow that was embarrassing." I said "eh it's not that bad, she's like WALKED in on me before."

He said "are you serious, how do you show your face to her?" I said "well, she didn't see any part of me we were under the covers. also she's my mom, it's not as bad as my dad. if it was my dad i would have died."

Austin said "yeah I'd be scared if your dad even caught us making out." I laughed and I said "why? my dad is nice."

He said "a girls dad is scary, from a guys point of view that is." I said "no don't be my dad is nice." He said "honestly your mom is scarier." I said "yeah i am scared of her."

He said "does she like me?" I said "I guess so, she doesn't really speak about any of our relationships, if i'm being honest I don't think she cares, as long as we are happy. Plus the age thing doesn't bother her she's 11 years younger than my dad."

He said "are you sure she likes me?" I said "do you want me to ask her." He said "I mean...." I said "alright fine I'll ask later."

He laughed and he said "thanks for putting up with me." I said "put up with you? I love you." He said "I love you too."
