"Jeff, c'mon, man, you're fine, it's okay," he whispered, petting the other's dark hair in a frail attempt to comfort him. A few more minutes passed before Jeff responded, clutching Jack's hand.
Jeff never blinked. It was impossible for him to blink. And it was never someone had seen him like this–just another alone, scared boy, crying.
"Get the fuck away," Jeff growled once he came back to reality.
"What was that," Jack asked, not moving. Jeff ignored him. "Hey! Fucking listen! If we aren't talking about this I think it's clear: we need to get away from... Him"
A beat. We. Jeff stopped breathing for a second.
"Yeah. No shit."
"Did he cause that?"
"No."
"Talk to me."
Jeff lunged at Jack with his knife, pinning him down, clearly pissed off. Without warning, he leaned down, breathing hot against Jack's face before daring himself to kiss him again.
Jack paused a moment before throwing Jeff off of him. "You need to talk to...someone," he murmured, skin oddly darker.
Jeff turned away. "Can't. Everytime I do. Time just. It's like I'm having a dream. A dream I can't wake up from and it's complete shit."
"About what," Jack's curious nature never ceased.
Jeff sighed.
"I think I was about 6..."jeffery hodek, not yet Woods, ran home, eyes bloodshot from crying. Mrs. Woods, frowned at the disturbance.
Boys. Do. Not. Cry.
"jeffery, come here," She commanded, watching as Her son listened with ease.
"Yes, mama," he said, before a harsh slapped met his skin.
"I raised a son, not a Girl. Keep this up, mister. You will not be a fucking queer," She said, now gently rubbing the area She had slapped. "Look what you've made me done, honey. Honor your Father and Mother," She cooed. "Poor boy. Why don't you go to your room?""She'd lock the door sometimes. If She didn't, i knew not to come out."
Eleven.
"I saw you with that little boy, jeffery woods," She yelled, "you cannot kiss boys," She was frantic. "Leviticus 18:22. Recite it."
he shook his head, afraid.
"jeffery."
"Thou shalt not lay with mankind as with woman womankind: it is abomination."
She nodded. "That's right! You're such a good son," She cooed."So...I'm sorry," Jack said, feeling slightly withdrawn.
"Fag," Jeff joked, leaning on the other. "You don't like me, do you?"
"I don't know. You're growing on me, Woods," Jack punched him lightly.
