~ Eyeless Jack's Point of View ~
Most Sundays were like this. After Saturday, Hell came back around.
Jack supposed this was because Slender would hand out a list to everyone. Think about how the teacher would give you and one other student a subject to work on and a week to finish it. That's what Slender would do.
Jack was currently sitting at the table, watching the chaos around him. Clockwork was screaming her head off at Toby for something, Tim and Brian were trying to prevent her from lunging at him, and Ben hadn't looked up once from his phone. That is until Slender walked in and the screen turned gray, black, and white, hinting possible static.
Being all-powerful and immortal has its faults, doesn't it, Jack thought to himself. He looked to Slender, then to the table, and then to his peers.
Clockwork automatically stared at Tim, as if it were his fault Slender had entered the room and took her seat next to Jane and X-Virus. Ben slipped his phone onto the table and looked up, similar to many others at the table. Except for Jeff, of course. Jeff simply gave off what Jack expected to be a smirk, although it was hard to tell with the smile Jeff had carved in his face. When had that been? Five years ago? Six, maybe?
A part of him wondered why Jeff was smirking before dismissing the small thought.
Jack had learned to not question Jeff, although he wondered if it was a smart choice. The only reason he had decided to not question Jeff was that Jeff had one of the highest scores, which was Jeff's way of saying kills. Most likely, it wasn't a smart decision at all. Jack scoffed to himself. Most likely? No. It was the stupidest decision he had ever decided to make. And besides, was it even a decision or the pure fact that Jeff hadn't died yet?
Jack brought his attention away from his thoughts for a while, noticing everyone had left (most likely to the kitchen, which was now the most chaotic part of the house.)
Jack stood up and went to join the other residents of the Mansion, standing as far away from them as possible. He felt uncomfortable in crowds and didn't see the rush. This was because he was the only one that ate human meat in the Mansion. Jack saw it as his ticket to getting away from crowds.
It took a while for everyone to leave, most just with bowls of cereal. Once only a few people were left, Jack walked over to a mini freezer. He opened it and examined the jars, each with a piece of tape that had a date neatly written on it. He took out one of the jars and a fork and knife, slicing the contents neatly. The contents just so happened to be organs. Currently, it was just a regular kidney but he was running out of food. Good thing tomorrow was Monday.
Monday was the day everyone went out of their killing sprees. Most of them would use this as a way to please Slender. Some would use it to please themselves. Jack used it as a way to get food. Whatever way people used the killing for, it was much like a drug: easy to get addicted to and would commonly get you in some trouble with the police (or, in more extreme cases, the government).
Jack joined the others at the table, where Slender was nowhere to be seen. Honestly, it didn't surprise Jack much. Slender never stayed for meals. He wondered if Slender could even eat.
Perhaps, he feeds off the people we kill, Jack thought to himself. He looked around.
Then again, maybe Slender didn't want to be near Jeff and Ben. The thought was mainly entertained in Jack's mind because Ben had turned up the volume on his phone and allowed Jeff to pick out songs, which was one of the worst things Ben could've done.
The song started nice, very light. Then the first few lyrics were heard, "I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD, CHRIS, I'LL TURN THIS FUCKING CAR AROUND! SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
Clockwork slightly jumped at the yelling, a common reaction from many at the table. This was a common reaction, mainly due to the trauma everyone had gone through.
Jack tried his best to ignore Jeff and Ben. It was sort of difficult as Jane stared at Jeff, annoyed, like always, "Could you turn that off or pick a better song?" She hissed. Jack was sure Jane hissed everything. She was just as catty as him, except she made herself seen.
Jeff stared at her as if she were crazy, "There's a better song?"
Jeff and Jane swapped some insults, many of which, Jack would store into his memory and use for later (some of what Jane said seemed to always get under Jeff's skin).
Jack sighed deeply, wondering if Jeff possibly knew songs that didn't scream or were about sex.
He laughed under his breath. He knew Jeff would know something.
While Jane had viewed Jeff as a Joker Reject, Jack had always admired him as an encyclopedia of songs. Not always good ones, but mostly good ones.
Jack pretended to ignore the rest of the killers.
Sometimes I don't really know where to leave off. But, hey, the next chapter is in Jeff's point of view so I hope that you'll enjoy that.
