I - ugly goblin sighting in the great hall!

"James I'm not sitting with you, I'm a prefect now."

Luxmi was pissed off, normally she would sit with the marauders every year but this year she had been gifted the role of a prefect, she was excited to see who she would do rounds with, she begged it would be Lily. "Oh come on, just 5 minutes?" James begged her. They were bickering for the
past 15 minutes outside the marauders compartment, she didn't like causing a scene so she tried shutting the conversation but he kept begging her. "James, I'll try to come back midway." She said, wanting to be alone and not have him in her face constantly. He sighed and nodded, making her pinky promise to which she rolled her eyes at before pulling out her picky finger and twisting it around her brothers.

"And hey, don't be nervous, I know you are." James said seriously as she looked at the face of his baby sister, they may not be blood related but nothing mattered except them. A soft smile made a way on her face, tilting her head. "I'll be fine, now shoo." She motioned to the compartment behind him before walking off to where she thought the prefect compartment was.

She was in-love with muggle fashion and would prefer that over anything. Recently she got this gorgeous pair of flared jeans, that were just in style, her top was more of a see through thin cardigan, a deep red colour, with a black tank under, she would be caught dead without it. With her perfectly curled hair that was brought into a half up & half down, Dorcas has showed her how to do it last year. All she wanted was to make a good first impression, I mean this could taint her reputation forever, right?

Taking deep breaths as she spotted the compartment just pass the Hufflepuffs section, having to embarrassingly walk by and avoid the stares, as she walked she quickly put her robes on and tied her tie. Not caring if it looked good she stopped right before the sliding door and took a final deep breath and slid the door open. It wasn't nerve wreaking since everyone's eyes were on random stuff, all awaiting the schedule and partners for yearly prefect rounds. As she sat down, playing with her jeans as she looked at everyone, trying to recognize all the faces, she caught one in particular.

An annoying face which was full of freckles and an impressively sharp jaw. Sirius? How did he get here? There's no way he would be a prefect. She stared at him weirdly, trying to figure out if it was him or not until she heard someone reveal the name of this mysterious boy who looked like her best friend.

"Oh and finally, Regulus and Luxmi." Lily concluded the partners for prefect duty.

Luxmi took a double take between Regulus and Lily. So this was Regulus? He did look intimidating and especially now when he was giving her a weird look, a look of distaste. Lily had got to be kidding, because Luxmi would not be partners with Sirius's nasty little brother, he was her age but still she would rather be with Snape, and he was the worst.

She stayed quiet, not wanting to be a bother or cause a scene like Sirius would've done. She was more scared of Regulus, when she wanted to be confident and try to coexist with him. But the thoughts of what if he tried to kill her while doing rounds? circled her mind like crows. It was a crazy assumption, we all know but right now she didn't know him one bit, only from the bits and pieces that Sirius discarded to her throughout her life.

"You can't let me be with him! Lily please I'm begging you."

Luxmi begged the red head as they sat on her bed in their dormitory. She would rather pitch herself off the astronomy tower then having to spend the rest of the year with him.

Classes haven't started yet, since the first day is used to get started and prepare, which Lily was following by studying as Luxmi bothered her. Being anxious was one thing but combined with Luxmi? Her stomach felt like death and she couldn't eat or do anything until the problem was solved, the "problem" being Regulus. "Luxmi , I can't change anything, I would if I could." Lily assured warmly, turning away from her work to look at the distressed girl. Luxmi's eyebrows relaxed after being furrowed for so long, finally she backed down. "Fine, but if he kills me I'm blaming you." She threatened dramatically. "Sure you will, come on dinner should be ready." Lily said getting up, she always liked being early, even to the boring annual dinners Hogwarts had. Surely that nasty goblin would be there, Regulus was an annoying sight to see, Luxmi was just thinking that now.

The Great Hall was a sight to see, a sight Luxmi had gotten bored of, she wanted adventure and to see things and do things all in a short amount of time before she was considered too "old". From her seat at the Gryffindor table she could catch glances at the boy, the obnoxious boy with curls that were perfectly curled? How annoying! Her glare seemed to be carrying out their own voices because he met her eyes, his expression screamed "what do you want?" It was embarrassing to be caught staring at someone, so her eyes widened. How could he even notice that she was staring at him if the Slytherin table was 2 tables away, he might be some sort of vampire or something. It's good to mention how much she overthought.

Immediately she turned her head away to see Sirius and James fighting over a piece of cake, Sirius did look like Regulus, twins almost.

Even when she fell asleep in the safe walls of the Gryffindor Dormitories where no Slytherin could enter, why did his glare show so much, why was she intimidated? Intimidated by the "heir of Slytherin" bullshit! She wouldn't be or feel threatened by a boy with parents that were inbreeding cousins. He ran through her mind without her permission even as she fell asleep, wishing she could shut it off, anything to get him away.
