Lucys pov

The fire has been extinguished, but the shop has been utterly destroyed. The great tree has melted into a strange, sinister twisted shape, and the barge is half-sunken in the river.Willy the others and I stand, shell-shocked. Our dreams  begining to slowly fade away.

"I don't understand. What...? What...? " Lottie said, but she couldn't finish her sentence as she lapsed back into silence. "What happened?" Piper asks, finishing Lotties' question. "Isn't it obvious? The Chocolate Cartel." Abacus said."It's ok, Willy. We can start again,
we can rebuild." I said, trying to ease his mind.

"There's no point, Lucy. It didn't work." He said." What do you mean?" Noodle asked him. "She promised she would be here. She wasn't." He began."Wait, you didn't really think..." I ask him. "No, I did, but it's just like you and Noodle said It's just a stupid dream," he states "No, it's not stupid. Willy, none of this is stupid! Don't say that. Don't you ever -" I said anrgryly.

"Yes, it is Lucy. Open your eyes. there's nothing you can do. I wish I never saw you, and then this wouldn't have happened in the first place." He said.  "Come on, girls. I think Mr Wonka needs to be alone." Abacus stated. Noodle and rest nodded and left.

I just stood there for a few minutes, and then I went closer to him. He looked up at me with sad eyes, and I had to resist crying. I then kissed him softly on the lips. "It will always be you." I whispered, and with that, I left him to be alone.

Willy's pov

I just sat here gazing at my mother's chocolate bar.
*Every good thing in the world started with a dream. So you hold onto yours. And when you do share
chocolate with the world, I'll be right there beside you.* I hear her voice echo through my mind. She wasn't there for me after all. My eyes welled up, and tears started running down my cheek.

"Terrible shame what happened here." I heard Slugworth's voice. I turn to see the Cartel coming into the shop."I take it you're responsible." I said bluntly with no emotion.

"Us? No! Well, not personally. We may have "encouraged" Mrs Scrubitt to "enhance" your creations." He adimits. "We paid her to poison them." Prodnose states. "Thank you, Gerald." Slugworth said. "You're welcome." Prodnose replied. "So why have you come? To gloat?" I asked."Oh no, Mr Wonka. I don't waste my time with that sort of thing. We've come to offer you a deal." He said and gestured to Fickelgruber. Fickelgruber kneels down to open his suitcase. Inside are seven bundles of bank notes. He lifts one and shows it to me.

"This is the precise amount you owe Mrs Scrubitt. "Slugworth said. Fickelgruber hands him several more bundles of notes. "This is for the number-cruncher,
the plumber, the telephonist, the so-called funny-man... And this is for both the girls. " he lists off and hands me a bundle far bigger than the others."We've put in a bit extra for them so one of them can get a place to live. Clothes. Toys. Books and the other a job."

"You could change her life, Mr Wonka, change all their lives." He said with determanation. "What would I have to do?" I ask, considering that I have nothing else to live for anymore."Leave town. And never make
chocolate again. There's a boat sailing at midnight. And for their sake, as much as your own, I hope
you're on board." He said. I realise I don't have much of a choice.

"Alright, I'll do it. On one condition." I said. "Witch is?" Slugworth asks "Help me write a letter for someone." I said seriously. "What?" Prodnose questioned. "You heard me help me write a letter. All you have to do is write exactly what I tell you, and I'll leave." I stated. They just nodded.

After they wrote my letter I walked slowly back to the laundry house.

🍭PLAY SONG🍭

Sorry Noodle.
I guess I got carried away.
Sorry, Lucy.
I hope you'll forgive me one day.

Mrs Scrubitt is waiting for me in the doorway.

"Checking out, are we?" She asks. I nod -- and go inside.

I just wanted it
To feel the way that it did
When I was a kid.
Sorry girls.

I look sadly at the picture of my mother inside, then
closed the case.Bleacher stands guard while I walked towards the stairs. I paused by the door to Lucy's room.I desperately want to knock, to talk to her, to explain, but Bleacher shakes his head - I sighed, slid the letter under her door, and head downstairs.

Lucy's POV

A few hours went by since we left Willy. He hasn't returned yet, and I'm starting to worry.

I stood by the window sill looking if I could see him.
"He's going to be back any minute now." I said more to myself than to Noodle. "Luce, you need some sleep." Noodle explains from her bed.

I just ignored her and kept looking. That's when I saw him. I sighed in relief he's alright.

I went back to my bed, but before I could lay down, I saw a piece of paper slide underneath the door. I walked over to the door and picked up the paper only to discover that it was a letter from Willy.

I panicked and ran to the window again and looked down to see Willy handing some money over to Mrs Scrubitt. What's he doing?

"Uh Noodle, you might wanna come see this." I said, panicking even more now. Noodle then stood up and came over to me

"Willy!" We shout. Willy glances up at us for a moment - then turns away. I looked at him confused, and then it hit me he's leaving. My breathing starts to get heavy and heavier as I watch him leave.

"I have to stop him he can't go!" I said and ran for the door  but Noodle holds me back with tears in her eyes.

"He's gone," She said, and I had to choke back a sob. Devastated, I sat on my bed. I couldn't hold it much longer, so I let go and sobbed like I've never sobbed before. It felt like I was being stabbed by a knife. All Noodle did was hold me and tried to comfort me. A few minutes later, I stopped sobbing and just laid down on my bed, feeling nothing but emptiness.
