Someone's Pov
"LUCY!!" I woke up with a start as Mrs Scrubitt screamed my name. What a wonderful way to start the morning.
With a sigh, I reluctantly stood up and got dressed for the day. "Finally took you long enough. Let's go. You've got lots of deliveries to make." Mrs Scrubitt said as I descended down the stairs. She then hands me the bassinet with clean laundry to deliver. "Alright, I'm going." I said, but just as I was about to leave, I stopped. "Wait, where's Noodle?" I ask she's always coming with me.
"Noodle won't be joining you today. She's serving out her punishment the brat." Mrs Scrubitt sneered out angryly. "I think you should lay off the punishments. Maybe she'll listen." I commented, looking at her with a smile. "You know what I think?" She asks. I just stood there waiting for her awnser. "I think you should shut your mouth and do your job before I punish you just like Noodle. You don't want that now, do you?" She said, getting angry. I hate this woman so much. "No, no, I do not." I said. "Good now, get going." She said. I nodded and walked off.
A few hours had gone by, and I was still busy with my deliveries. I decided to take a detour, though Galeries Gourmet. As I was walking along, I stopped to take a break and looked around. That's when I saw the weirdest thing: a man dressed in a royal red coat with a brown tophat dancing. I just stood there and watched the man in amusement. He then started spinning around with his cane. I burst into giggles as he kept on spinning and dancing.
He must have heard me, for he stopped and looked up. When he saw who I was, he smiled at me. I gave a small smile back and waved at him. He then tipped his hat and bowed his head as to say *hello* and walked his way over to me, but just as he was about to reach me, a police officer tapped him on the shoulder and pointed at the sign. The man just signed pays the police officer money and walked off.
I just shrugged and walked onwards. A few hours later, I was done, and by the time I made my way to the washhouse, it was already night. I sneaked my way into the kitchen and smiled when I saw Noodle safe and sound reading a book. "What did I miss?" I whispered to her. She looked up from her book and gave me a smile. "Nothing much same old same old." She replied. I then proceeded to tell her all about my encounter with the man when all of sudden I heard the door open...
