Katie finally moved out to Stacey's place because she was done with her family at this point. she was met with a lot of resistance from her family but Stacey was right at her side through it all and for once she stood up for herself. Watching her stand up for herself, her family's jaws all dropped to the ground. Till now, she only responded to them internally never to their face but they saw a whole new savage side of her. Yes, the queen is savage.  That is exactly how Stacey moved out to her brother's house too. The two girls are truly two peas in a pod.

Just like that, the week was over. Katie was doing a whole lot better so Stacey invited Emma, Ross, Ace, and Adrian over to spend time together over the weekend. This time, the ambiance was not one of heaviness, grief, or pain. There was only a sense of closure, solace, healing, and forgiveness.

The gang decided to go out to the movies. Out of all genres they picked horror. Katie is terrified of horror. So is Stacey. The girls picked their snacks and drinks and the boys offered to pay for them although they were willingly going to pay for themselves. Even Adrian still paid for Katie's snacks and drinks and remembered her order before she even told him. Gestures of affection were something Katie loved. You can undoubtedly say that this gesture of remembering what she likes had a profound impact on their new beginning.

They got their snacks and drinks and headed into their cinema hall. The two best friends were already terrified before the movie even started. The expressions on their faces sent the rest of the group into a fit of laughter. Stacey smacked Ace and gave him her famous death glare. Ace raised his hand in surrender, and the rest all chuckled softly. Adrian turned to see Katie sitting next to him, also chuckling along. A sight he had oh so desperately wanted to see for the past one week. Seeing her laugh, he had a satisfied grin on his face.

As the movie progressed, Emma, being the braver one among the girls when it comes to horror movies, just watched while holding Ross's hand. Stacey looked like she had seen a ghost. Literally speaking. She let out a scream at a hair-raising jumpscare and buried her face in Ace's chest. The latter held her protectively in his embrace. She would occasionally look at the large movie screen and then hide in Ace's chest again.

Then, there was Katie. She screamed the most, and instinctively, Adrian let her bury her face on his shoulder and wrapped her in his arms. At one point he could literally feel her heart thumping so he began to caress her silky, blonde tresses and back soothingly. He then leaned in to press a firm kiss on her forehead. It felt like they were back to normal. Even Katie didn't hesitate from any physical contact. She looked up at him and placed a kiss on his cheek. Adrian was caught off-guard because he didn't expect her to do that, it's only been a week since that night.

Adrian smiled contentedly, he was beyond elated that there was a semblance of normalcy between them now. He knew that this meant that she was slowly but surely forgiving and starting to trust him again. He also appreciated the fact that his girl has a big heart and isn't holding a grudge against him. She is one of the kindest and sweetest people he's ever met. She has a heart of gold. That's exactly what drew him to her in the first place. Just the way she is, tugged at his heartstrings. Before he met her, he had the reputation of a player, but she wove a metamorphosis, sculpting him into a soul reborn. Someone who only knew how to play with girls' hearts became the man who could never play with this girl's heart.
