Nina was about to leave when her friend, Vivian, showed up with two boys I didn't recognize. Vivian seemed happy, the boys with her appeared friendly. Vivian noticed my presence and scrutinized me, narrowing her eyes, trying to recall where she had seen me before.

"Hold on, you look familiar," Vivian suddenly said. Tinitigan niya akong maigi. Tumigil ang anak ko sa paglakad. "Are you my dad's secret child?!" She blurted out.

"Vivian, what are you talking about? Come on." Nina pulled her away.

"Nina, who is she?" one of the boys asked, eyeing me curiously.

"I don't know her. Don't worry about it, guys, let's go."

So these are her friends...

"Parang magkamukha kayong dalawa." Komento ng isa. Ngumiti siya sakin. "Hello, I'm Kairus." He introduced and offered his hand to shake hands.

I looked him up and down, then turned my attention back to Nina, who now seemed quite upset.

He seems nice.

I smiled and nodded. "I'm—"

"I'm going home," Nina suddenly announced, starting to walk away.

"No. I'm pretty sure I saw her in my dad's wallet. They have a picture together..." Vivian was still puzzled, and the other boy held her arm. "Let's go, Vivian. Baka iwan nila tayo," said the boy. Kairus withdrew his extended hand to follow Nina. "Nina, wait!" and ran after my daughter.

"Shocks! Is my dad having a love affair with someone my age?!"

Nagtagal ang titig ko sa dalawang kakaalis lang. I see... My daughter is at that age.

"What's going on with those two?" I asked the remaining two. Vivian smirked. Andro's daughter resembled her mother a lot.

"Oh, them? Hmm..." Vivian seemed to change her attitude and dismiss the earlier topic. "Why would I tell you? We don't even know you. Let's go, Raiden!" She rolled her eyes at me and dragged Raiden by the arm.

I watched them leave, observing from a distance.

I'm glad she has good friends. Protective and will never leave her.

I sighed in relief while observing my daughter laughing and smiling for the first time. She was enjoying herself with her friends. I couldn't help but feel a pang in my heart. I envied her friends because she never showed that side of her to me. I let her enjoy her day, realizing that if I approached her now, I might ruin it for her, so I walked away.
