I kept running, fast. Faster, I felt like I was flying, but not in a good way. As I ran through the woods, I could hear ¢€¥+_(#; footprints gaining up behind me. I ran faster and faster, the branches tugging my clothes, scraping my skin, then, I fell...

"Okay class, today we will get into the groups for the project that we talked about last week."

I rolled my eyes. I hated group projects. I hid my face in my long black hair. I looked around as all the kids got up from their seats to find their groups.

I put my head back down and sighed.

"You okay?" I heard a female voice say.

I look up. "Hi! My name is Charlotte! Nice to meet you!" She extends her hand out for a handshake.

I shake her hand "I'm Marilyn.." I say. God I hope she heard me.

"Marilyn? That's really pretty!" She smiles her big white toothed smile,

"Flawless..." I whisper just low enough that she couldn't hear me.

She sits down in the seat next to me.

"Uhm..uhm.. excuse me..?" A quiet voice asks behind me. I turn around to see a black haired boy looking at me.

"Yes?"

"Uhm... Well I was wondering if I could be in your group..?" He says in a somehow quieter voice I kind of strain my ears to hear the full sentence.

"Of course you can cutie!" Charlotte exclaimed happily.

He nods in acknowledgement and hides his head in his arms in embarrassment.

I turn over to Charlotte. She's staring at her notebook. Thinking probably. What could she be thinking about? I look at mine. And write down "Lucille Abbott"

I stare at the name. The case has always interested me, ever since I learned about it. I thought that this would be maybe a good topic. Only if they agree. If they don't then...It's whatever.

"HEY FAGGOT!" someone yells. I shoot my head up and search the room for the culprit. I look behind me at the boy. He's hiding his head still. But instead of being embarrassed, it's more scared.

He looks up and looks directly at Charles. I know instantly who the comment was by. And who it was directed towards. I glare at Charles.

"What group are you in Nerdy boy?" He comes closer to the boy.

He looks up "I'm in Hers..." He points over to me.

Charles looks up and eyes my face with a devilish smile.

"Well hello cutie, what's your name?" He asks, sitting down in the chair next to the boy and putting his feet up on the desk.

"I-uhm-" I stutter.

"Her names Marilyn. And I don't think she appreciates the cat calling Charles." Charlotte shoots a glare at him. Her blue eyes taking the shape of the scary blue sea instead of the soft blue sky I saw earlier.

"Oh, and whose group is yours?" He questions, shooting a wink her way.

She rolls her eyes. "Marilyn's thanks for asking." She says sharply.

"Well I don't have a group yet, so I'll just join yours! We'll all get along great, right Cory?" I looks over at Cory and hits the back of his head.

Cory looks down and put his hand up to his head and nods slowly.

"Right! Then what are we doing it on?"

"I'm not sure. I don't have any ideas, what about you, your name is Cory, right?" Charlotte's eyes are soft again.

Cory nods a small nod.

"Do you have any ideas?"

He shakes his head slightly.

"What about you pretty face?" Charles looks over at me and winks.

I look down and slightly nod.

"Share with the class"

"I was thinking of doing one based off of the mystery of Lucille Abbott..." I say softly.

"That sounds so interesting! Let's do it!" Charlotte exclaimed happily.

"Alright class, now I will hand out this sheet and you will write down your group members and your topic." The teacher hands me the paper first and I write down our names and our topic and hand it to Charlotte who hands it to another kid and so on.

"This is gonna be fun..."
