Chapter 48:

Catherine's POV:

A smile finds a way onto my face as Niall comes running up to my door.

"Catherine!" He grins, hugging me.

"Ah, I can finally actually hug a solid figure!" I joke.

"Oh, yes! Demi, remember her? Of course you do. Anyway, she did a spell on both Liam and I to be human like."

Liam walks up and hugs me, "She did. And hello, Catherine. I've missed you."

"I've missed you, too." I smile.

Niall cuts in, "I've missed you more."

I laugh, "Okay, okay. How about you two come in? Harry's here."

"Where's Zayn and Louis?" Liam asks.

My smile falls, and I lie right through my teeth. "Oh, they're both out."

"Ah. How are you and Zayn anyway? Last I heard from you, you were all well."

"Good, good."

Niall smiles, "My ship is still sailing."

Not really.

"Yeah."

We all walk in to see Harry eating a bagel, "Aye man!" Harry smiles widely as Liam and him embrace.

Niall coughs, "Really? You go for him first?"

"Sorry Niall." Harry apologizes, as he walks over and hugs Niall.

Niall and Liam sit on one couch, as we sit on the other. They're all talking when Harry's bagel is pretty much taunting me.

I decide to snatch it out of his hand and take a big bite. His mouth falls open in shock as I smile at him innocently. "It was Niall."

Niall sputters, "Nuh uh! She's lying Harry!"

I swallow the bagel and Harry sighs, "Well, then."

"Not sorry." He rolls his eyes but laughs as he places a kiss on my cheek.

My cheeks heat up as Liam and Niall watch us in shock. But Niall soon breaks it, "So, where's Thor? Is he here? Oh god, I haven't seen him in ages."

My heart aches as I look over at Niall, "Niall, awhile ago Thor...he passed."

His smile drops as he looks down at the floor, "Oh, I see..."

"I'm sorry I didn't tell you, it totally slipped my mind."

"It's fine, Catherine." I see tears well up in his eyes but they soon are gone. I look at him, guilt hitting me. "There's only one thing to do."
