Your bed rocks back and forth as you kick your legs.
Your hands are together in your lap, jumping along.
You couldn't keep still to save your life. Today was your 13th birthday and your older brothers, especially Mikey, were going all out for it.
The day started with your favorite breakfast being made by Mona Lisa and Mikey, the cooks of the household. Even though you don't like her much, you do appreciate how Mona cooks delicious breakfasts nearly everyday.
Then, you played video games against your older brothers. You won against Leo, of course, especially since he doesn't play video games anymore.
He even argued that.
"A win is a win." Raphael told him smugly.
Leo just rolled his eyes with a smile and went into the dojo with Karai.
Donnie didn't want to play, and was in his lab most of the day, but he did manage to say happy birthday once or twice; Mikey and Raph beat you badly. It wasn't even close.
Mikey offered to help teach you how get better instead of rubbing the loss in your face, like Raphael.
Raph did his usual little victory dance, humming and yelling "haha" in your face.
You pretended that you didn't care about his words, because deep down, you believed he was joking but even if he was, your heart still stung.
Another thing I'm not good at...
Although your brother was 18, he still kept his cocky, fun, hotheaded personality, just a little toned down.
Luckily, Karai brought his boasting to an end with her teasing and after another hour or so of playing, you were escorted to your bedroom. It's been nearly 2 and a half hours since then and, in that time, you've reread the books you "borrowed" from Donnie, daydreamed, and cuddled with the stuffed animals that Raph had gifted you but, in the end, you were still bored.
It took very little to entertain you and vice versa with boring you.
You groaned, slamming your arms on the comfy bed.
"What should I dooooo?"
Rolling over, you grabbed Skyler, your favorite stuffed animal and held them.
Maybe it was their happy smile with their cute tongue sticking out, the fact that you've had them since you were 7, or that they're the most precious thing to you, but even in the worst times, you always manage to be comforted, smile, or solve a problem when holding the small animal in your hand.
You always got the best ideas from them.
How can I cure my boredom?
You look around the room, examining each object. Near the door, is where you kept your red and green dollhouse where your smallest stuffies could live. Besides that, was a poster of your favorite singer.
You weren't in the mood to play dollhouse right now...
Plus, your brothers wouldn't want to hear you screech-sing.
To the left of the poster was your closet. All that was in there was undercover clothes, your weapon, gear, and random stuff you were hiding just so you could call your room "clean".
Nothing useful in there.
That brought you to the wooden nightstand besides your bed, the same one your foot kicked against 3 times today.
On top was a new journal that April gifted you the week before. You smile as you grab it. Her words linger inside your mind.
"Here," she said with a wink, "so that you can have something your brothers don't need to know about."
