Melody eventually brings me up into the parking lot. As I look back down to the beach, the people are cleared, now in two different groups. One surrounds the buzzed guy, and the other, a bigger group, surrounds Adrian.

"Where's your car, darling? I'll bring you home." She says, holding my shoulders.

"Oh, I didn't ride a car. I rode my bike." I say, and start laughing.

"Oh- how many beers did you have?" She asks, noticing the drunken state I'm in.

"Oh, I don't know."

I start counting on my fingers, continuously.

"Twenty-five, twenty-two..."

"Do you know what? Let's take Adrian's car." She says, waving her hand.

"He rode a bike."

I swallow something very distasteful that formed in my mouth.

"Shit!" She complains, looking behind me.

"I'm tired." I groan.

A crowd of worried voices comes closer to me. I look behind me and see Adrian, blood dripping off him. Oh, god, I feel like I'm about to barf.

"Jesus, Adrian!"

Melody pushes him. The people following behind him disperse around the parking lot.

"What were you thinking?!" She complains.

"Is Kathy okay?" Adrian asks, his eyes filled with anger and worry.

I turn around, kneeling, facing the bushes. My stomach starts turning.

"Kathrine is fine, dumbo! God, look at your face!" She yells.

I grab my stomach. Oh god.

Adrian walks up behind me.

"Are you okay?" He asks, kneeling beside me.

"I don't feel good."

I see the other crowd of people start to head up to where we are.

"Go!" Melody loudly whispers to Adrian.

Melody tosses the car keys to Adrian, and they fall next to him. He picks them up, then realizes the group of people.

He presses the unlock button on it, and a car beeps in the distance while the headlights come on, shining on us.

"I'll distract. You two go, now!"

She jogs away towards the group. I hear someone yelling something about killing someone.

"Okay, hold it in for a bit, we have to go."

Adrian grabs my wrist softly, helping me up. I follow him quickly to the car. I feel a little less nauseous when moving. Both of us ran to a door and quickly got in the car. The car starts and immediately goes backward. I hear yelling coming closer. The car starts going forward, quickly. I put my seatbelt on.

"Hey, Adam?" I say softly.

"Not right now, Kathy. Sorry, but this psycho is chasing the car!"

We take a sharp turn.

"It's important."

He takes a deep breath and then sighs.

"I didn't even mean to do it."

"What is it?"

"I am in the back seat," I say singsongy.

"Yes. Yes, you are."

I close my eyes and rest my head on the car window.

"Oh, phew. We lost him."

"Goodnight," I say.

"Goodnight." He says.
