Sun walked over to you. "Yes, Y/N? What's it?" He said while standing on the other side of the security desk. He looked down at you, not noticing the missing papers in your hands.
"What are these about?" You ask. You show him the many missing papers of former daycare employees.
Sunny's eyes widened, and you could feel the intense anxiety radiating off him. He spoke frantically, stuttering and stumbling over almost each and every word, "T-Those are nothing! I-I don't k-know what you're t-talking about, Sunshine!" He laughed nervously, aggressively ripping the papers out of your hands.
You raised an eyebrow at his actions. You sigh before speaking, an annoyed tone evident in your voice, "I thought I told you to stop calling me that. And... I know for a fact that those papers mean something. Why do you have them? Why are they all last seen wearing their uniforms? And more importantly, why were they shoved in a drawer like that?!"
"Th-that doesn't matter! Just... y-you should go home. You look look like you need some rest." Sunny said, attempting to change the subject.
You sighed again before grabbing all your stuff and putting it in your bag. You were about to leave, but when you checked your phone, you saw that you had a message from the owner of your apartment.
"Damn it..." you said, "I can't go home... they have to exterminate the rats in my apartment..." you told Sunny, extremely annoyed.
Sunny ripped up the papers. "Where are you going to stay?" He asked, trying to keep the topic off of the missing papers.
"Well... Scarlett said that if I work the night shift as well, it'll line up perfectly with my normal shift. And I'll get paid more. So I was planning to crash here." You shrugged.
Sun didn't seem to like that idea. "Y-you can't stay in the daycare overnight!" His voice cracked a little bit, "It doesn't matter what your manager said!" He seemed very defensive.
"Why not?" You asked, "it's not like you can force me to leave anyway."
Sun made an annoyed grunt as he stomps his foot down. "Fine! But if something happens, it's not my fault."
With that, you put your stuff back down behind the security desk. You took this opportunity to take a small nap. You were absolutely exhausted after watching all those kids, and almost losing Sun. Despite the daycare lights being on, you managed to sleep peacefully for a couple of hours.
You woke up at around midnight, when the lights turned off. "What?..." you said to yourself, "No one ever told me that the lights were gonna go out. Guess that flashlight will come in handy after all." You reached into your bag and took out the flashlight Scarlett had given you. Standing up, you heard a creepy, raspy voice laughing. "Hello?! Who's there?! Sun?!" You called out, hoping for a response.
"Starlight~" you heard the strange voice say from across the daycare. You could barely see anything beyond the security desk. The voice continued speaking, "Come here, starlight~"
You became increasingly panicked, your heart pounding in your chest. This could all just be a dream, but you couldn't risk attempting to go back to sleep. "W-who's there?!" You called out desperately, "Where's Sunny?!"
You could hear a mechanical clicking sound, and it was approaching fast. "Already picking favorites, are we?" The voice laughed again as it came into the light. The screens behind you illuminated the figures face just enough to see that it was an animatronic as well. More specifically, it was the animatronic that was on the moondrop posters. It had the same design as Sun. Its eyes were blacked out except for the glowing red pupils.
"Who are you?! W-what did you do with Sun?!" Your voice echoed through the massive, now dark, daycare. It was your job to watch the daycare and make sure everything went smoothly, so you needed to know who, or what, this new animatronic was.
"I guess they didn't tell you about me... figures. They probably just didn't want to scare you away," its voice had become more of a growl, as if it was angry at you didn't know who he was. He took what sounded like a deep breath before continuing, "Now get over here."
"No way," you replied, still not knowing who this strange animatronic was. You stood up from the chair and started to step back, wanting to create distance between you and him, but before you could get far enough away, he lunged over the security desk and grabbed onto you roughly by the shoulders.
You struggled, making a desperate attempt to escape the animatronic's grasp. He sounded extremely angry when he spoke next, "I told you to get over here, starlight."
He pulled you closer by the collar of your shirt and smirked, revealing a pair of sharp fangs. You panicked, trying to pull away and escape his incredibly tight grip. "L-let go! What did you do to Sun?!" You struggled to get those words out, as he had wrapped his other hand tightly around your neck.
The terrifying animatronic growled again before speaking, "Don't worry, Starlight... Your precious Sunny is safe..." It was clear that he was growing increasingly annoyed, his sharp finger tips digging into your neck.
You were trying to pull away, barely able to speak coherently with his tight grip on your throat. "L-Let go! You-You bastard!"
"Call me by my name, Starlight..." his voice was a low growl, his grip on your neck tightening painfully. You continued struggling. Your heart was beating faster from the immense amount of panic you were in at that moment. You let out a terrified whimper. You also, had no clue what his name was.
He growled, like he was getting more pissed off my the second. He removed his hand from your neck, releasing you. Suddenly, he lunged forward and dug his razor sharp fangs into your neck, his vicious bite sending you into a gruesome state of unconsciousness.
