[ 'Again.... When will this regression end? I am the only person that's really alive.'

Yoo Junghyuk was already in his 16th regression. He felt tired, mentally and physically. He was standing in the middle of a pile of monster corpses he just killed.

ROOOO—

Another bunch of monsters came his way. He didn't want to, but he still fought.

Another pile could be seen and him sitting down on them. His eyes dull, breathing uneven, he was exhausted.

"Sob, sob."

He heard a cry not far. He decided to walk towards the source of the annoying cry and found a teen. He was hiding underneath some debris.

"Hey, kid. What you doing?"

"Ah!"

The teen was shocked. He had not even heard Yoo Junghyuk's footsteps.

"I-it's just that.. I'm really sad about the apocalypse and stuff... I know crying can't help but I can't help it...."

"Uhuh..."

That wasn't what Yoo Junghyuk asked but the teen kept rambling on.

"The only thing that's keeping me together is.. This."

"A notebook?"

It was a notebook. A plain, ordinary notebook. But this kid was saying it was keeping it together. Yoo Junghyuk wondered if it had some abilities.

"T-this was from my teacher....I would always sleep in class due to my family's financial problems and..... ya, the teachers would always scold me but.... He wouldn't."
(A/N: yall get the 'ya' right? Means abuse and he don't wanna talk bout it but eh)

Yoo Junghyuk just listened. He didn't know why he was listening, but he listened. He felt like listening. It felt like he needed to.

"He would always wake me up after class and give me the notes, always having a knowing look, like he could see through me, what I was going through, he understood."

Yoo Junghyuk got interested. He felt like if he met this guy, he would understand him too. He would be alive like him.

" He..would always talk to our class about getting his slacker life and say 'living is the best'. "

'Is it really though?'

Yoo Junghyuk had mixed feelings about that.

"He...is the only reason why I can't back down now.... I don't want to disappoint him."

'Only reason huh....'

Yoo Junghyuk wondered how much of an impact this teacher of his left on him.

"But... I don't think he would even be disappointed. He was never disappointed, never angry, always had a blank face on him and would smile faintly occasionally."

The teen who was once sad and sobbing was now starting to smile the more he talks about his teacher. Yoo Joonghyuk raised an eyebrow at this.

"He was really good. He helped a lot of students in the class. And...whenever we were with him, we always felt a sense of comfort, reminding us of home."

'Must be nice..'

Yoo Junghyuk was having emo thoughts again. He quite envied the teen who had such a good teacher who actually sounded too good to be a teacher.

"Though our time together wasn't long and was only a month... The whole class had a good time with him till the apocalypse."

Yoo Junghyuk stayed silent. The look on the boys face was sad again, but then brightened.
