"I was planning on talking to one person... not three." Chloe mumbles to herself looking at the Corner.
She turned the light on, seeing Theodore standing in the corner. He leaned away from the wall and began walking towards her. As he got closer, Chloe took a few steps back. Her back was now leaning against the wall, and Theodore got even closer to her.
"Have you been eavesdropping on my conversation?" She asked clenching her jaw.
"Kinda." He nodded playfully.
He placed his hand next to her head on the wall, and starred her deeply in the eyes.
"I actually used to be very close friends with Luke. Actually to be exact, he was like a little brother to me." He said biting his lip.
"And I also was very close to Joan. Well that's what I at least thought. She dropped me as soon as Luke arrived at the camp. She started to only hang out with him, and treated me like I wasn't existing anymore. Not only did he take her from me, he also took the title of the one thing I was ever passionate about."
His raspy voice being clear enough for her to hear.
She looked at him with squinting eyes and stopped. Theodore bit his lip again, and sucked air through his teeth.
He grabbed her hand and placed a Map into her hand.
"You'll need this map to get out of the underworld." He said.
She raised a brow at his sudden announcement.
"It's a Map to Persephone's pearls." He uttered.
"Persephone? Isn't she the wife of my father now?" She asked confused.
"To be exact, the daughter of Zeus and Demeter. Hades kidnapped Persephone against her will, and forcibly made her his wife and keeps her a prisoner. Now...let's say that she hates it there. It's hot and he's a pretty much a weirdo. So she began having...secret visitors."
She looked at him with Narrowing eyes and then looked down at the Map confused.
"This is a Map to Persephone's pearls. She keeps those pearls for them all over the world, and these pearls lead to a quick escape from the underworld. You can use them to get out." Theodore said.
"And how do these pearls work?" Chloe looked up at him.
"Easy, you take a pearl, step on it and crush it. Relies on where you wanna be taken. Right now there are about three pearls in the United States." He explained.
Theodore points a finger on the Map. "And this Map will guide you there."
He then tapped his finger on the Northeast of the Map two times. "Right here is going to be your first location." He said and removed his finger from the map.
A sudden text appeared on the Map. "Leads Point, New Jersey, Auntie Ems Garden Emporium." She read out loud.
"A sudden move of you, don't you think?" She raised a brow.
"I might've seemed like a complete asshole when I nearly broke Luke's nose, but I guess that was just the anger that curled up inside me." He addressed. "But still keep an eye on him...and make sure he comes back alive, and so do you." Theodore says looking serious.
He looked at her a few seconds in silence.
As he sighs, he spun around and dashed towards the door.
"I can take pretty good care of myself." Chloe looks up from the floor and looked at him.
"Thanks." She sighs and looks away.
Theodore turned and chuckled while licking his lip.
"Good Luck tomorrow. You'll need it." He said and left.
Chloe flicked her tongue and looked around the room, not knowing why he was so sudden.
She laid on her bed and starred at the ceiling of the cabin before dozing off.
"We will meet soon enough."
Chloe shuts her eyes open after hearing that sentence. She looked around seeing that, the sun was shining into her room. As she got out off the bed, and grabbed a a bag full of things she needed, like a good amount of money, some clothes and the Map.
She then made her way out the Cabin, and opens the door to find Luke and Grover waiting.
"Ready?" Luke said smiling at her.
She walked past him, and was now following behind Grover, who was leading the way out of the camp.
As they left the camp, they walked through a field.
Chloe then stopped on her track and began fumbling around her bag, to search for the Map Theodore gave her.
"Grover." She called. "This is the first location." Chloe said.
She then handed him the Map, and he took a look at it.
"Don't know where you got that from but okay, I know where that is."
They got off a bus and headed inside Ems Garden Emporium.
They decided to split up and search around.
Grover walked around and spotted a stone sculpture that also looked like a Satyr.
"Check this out... he looks just like my uncle Ferdinand." He laughed. "He got the same clothes he was wearing...on his quest..." he mumbles to himself.
"Well it can't be my Uncle Ferdinand, because my Uncle Ferdinand was killed by..."
Grover's eyes widen in shock.
