Kyoudai's POV:
I....I...I failed...
Zero, I....I failed, I let myself get hurt...I'm sorry..
I couldn't do this, not this one simple task on my own...I'm sorry..
Those were the last words I was thinking, before I collasped on the ground.
It's cold but, somehow, I feel warm. Did I die? Am I in Hell? I can't believe I let myself die like this, Zero must hate me now. I'm so weak..
Suddenly the hot feeling increased, burning through my veins, it seemed. It was too hot, too uncomfortable.
My eyes snapped open ans I sat up quickly. As I looked around a sharp pain broke across my torso and I layed back down.
"Sorry about that, this Narcotic, I just injected in you, it's a little rough. But, it should ease the pain." A voice said and I looked to see the man from before sitting in a chair beside me. I was in a huge bed, just like the one in Zero and I's dorm.
I just stared at him in amazement, I'm not dead? He-He's nursing me back to health?
He ran his hand through his tousled dark brown hair nervously. "Sorry for treating you out of the blue, I figured you didn't want to die there."
"Yeah," I mumbled. It seemed as dying was the only thing to help rid me of my problems but, that would just be giving up and quiting.
"Kyoudai Itazuki, right? I'm Ryoushinteki Hanadagi, my daughter has told me a lot about you." He said smiling.
"Ryoushinteki-Sama..."
"Just call me Ryou-San." He interupted.
"Ryou-San, can I go back to my master soon? I'm expected to return on Sunday." I asked.
He shook his head. "I did a lot of damage, you can return on Sunday but you should take it easy from now on. Don't underestimate your opponent or you won't win."
"What did you do? I mean, how did you make me blind?"
"It was only an illusion, and while you were seeing it, Atsuihime used your sword against you. It did a lot of damage but, your wound should heal fairly quickly. Also, while I did an Ultrasound I saw that-"
Then, there was a knock on the door. "May I come in?"
"Of course," Ryou said. The door opened with a creak and the women with golden hair walked in.
"I brought chocolate-chip cookies!" She exclaimed as she sat on the edge of my bed. She layed the plate on my lap, it had three cookies on it. I could smell the sweet aroma of chocolate and vanilla in the air, I quickly picked one up and took a bite of it.
It was like tasting Heaven! It was nice and gooey, which melted in my mouth, just the way I liked them.
She smiled. "I'm sorry about your wound, this is kind've an apology. Oh, and I'm Atsuihime but just call me Hime."
"Um, thank you." I mumbled, taking another bite of the cookie. "But, why...I tried to kill you yet, your helping me....why?"
"Because, there is no point in us killing you and we didn't want you to lie there, dying." Ryou explained.
Then, he stood up and ruffled my hair. "We'll leave you to get some rest." They both left the room and I was alone.
I sighed and layed back down, I was a little tired. I closed my eyes and hoped for a peaceful dream..
"You awake?" A voice said and my eyes snapped open. Karenko was standing beside my bed smiling.
"Yeah,"
"Good! That means you can watch Bleach with me!" Karenko exclaimed. I watched as she took the huge TV in the corner and placed it gently on the stand in front of my bed.
She turned it on and flipped to a channel then she jumped beside me on the bed.
"Hey, I....I'm-" Karenko clamped her hand over my mouth.
"You don't have to apoligize, you were following orders. It's okay, if you want, we can help you." Karenko reasured me.
I closed my eyes. "No, it's too late for someone to help me. That's why I have to leave tommorow."
