Kyoudai's POV:

I breathed in deeply as I waited impatiently to board the train. I carefully handed the concductor my ticket and sat down in the seat in the back, my guitar in the seat beside me.

Apparently, Sara had something come up so, I was forced to ride the train to the Hanadagi's place. Of course, I was a little worried that something might happen if someone saw my weapons. However, I had carefully hidden them.

My sword, passed down from my Dad, was inside of my guitar case, my twin pistols were hidden inside of my jacket, and my shureiken were strapped on to my belt.

I relaxed when the train started to move, I was the 5th stop so it would be about a hour and a half until I got there. I pulled out my MP3 player and started to listen to Prisoner by Mamoru Miyano.

I looked out the window as I hummed along to the song. I sighed, I wish I would have told Zero to come along...

But, I have to come back unscathed so I can gain Zero's trust! Well, that's what I told myself so I wouldn't freak out. I shouldn't be worried though, I'm the successor of a well-known Vampire Hunter clan! I can do anything!

Man, am I an idiot....

I hadn't even noticed when the train had stopped on the 1st stop until, I felt a tap on my shoulder.

I looked up to see a friendly face looking down at me. It was a girl my age that had golden, caramel curls and wide, olive green eyes.

"Um, is it alright if I sit with you?" She asked, her bright smile drawing me in quickly.

"Sure, I don't mind." I mumbled as I grabbed my guitar out of the seat next to me. She smilied again as she sat down, laying her silver handbag on her lap.

She held out her hand. "I'm Karenko Hanadagi."

I just stared at her hand and she pulled it back awkwardly. Then, suddenly, something clicked in my brain.

Hanadagi?!?! That was the last name of the pureblood vampires I have to kill! But, Sara said to only kill Atsuihime and Ryoushinteki, not someone named Karenko. Hmm, maybe she can help lead me to them.

I put on a fake smile and turned to her. "Sorry, I'm usually very shy, I'm Kyoudai Itazuki."

"Oh. okay, I get it. I'm shy sometimes too." Karenko said shaking my hand.

"Um, I don't want to peer in or anything, but are you related to Atsuihime and Ryoushinteki Hanadagi?" I asked.

Karenko laughed. "Yep! They're my parents, I'm on my way back home right now. Do you have an appointment or something?"

I shook my head. "Um, no I....I have to visit them for my master." I almost threw up in my mouth, I hate calling Sara "My Master". Though, I am her servant in some ways.

"Oh, so you're a," Then, she leaned closer to me and whispered "Vampire."

I nodded and she smiled again. "I thought I smelled the scent of vampire in the air, you're formally human, right?" Karenko whispered.

"Yeah," I mumbled. The over-whelming reminder that I wasn't human anymore saddened me, damn Sara.

"Who is your master?"

I looked up. "Um, It's a private message....I'm sorry I can't tell you."

"Oh, okay. My parents don't really like me getting into their business so, I understand."

I smiled, I was starting to like Karenko.

***************************************

I sighed as I stepped off the train and followed Karenko out of the station.

The rest of the ride she told me about her parents and how they were so kind. Atsuihime, her mother, was a watercolor artist and loved to paint nature. Her father, Ryoushinteki, was a highly-profesional doctor who had a compassion for humans and treated them as equals.

They sounded just like Karenko so, I figured that was how she got her happy personality.

"So.....do you have a boyfriend or something?" Karenko asked, still dragging me along a dirt path through the woods.

I blushed. "Um, I guess so. I....I love him more than anything."

Karenko turned to me and smiled. "Aww, I had someone I was forced to marry. It was Tenshi Ouri, he had a horrible and perverted personality, I didn't like him at all. However, he was killed by that "Pureblood Assassin" everyone's been talking about. I was a little relieved that I didn't have to be with him anymore. Anyways, what's he like, Kyoudai? You're "Prince Charming"?"

I blushed even deeper when I heard Tenshi's name but, for some reason, it didn't phase me. "He's....caring, protective, a pain in the ass, and very loving. I've known him since I was a little girl. He's also a former human, too." The more I talked about Zero, the more I longed for him. So I shut myself up.

"Oh, here we are." Karenko smiled and I looked up to see a huge, white mansion in front of us. While I gawked at it, she knocked on the door. That knock awakened my senses and I reached back and grabbed my guitar out of its case.

"Kyoudai? What are-"

I strummed the guitar. "Creep!" I commanded and Karenko fell to the ground with her hands over her ears. It pained me to see her like this but, I grabbed my sword.

I looked over to see two figures in the standing in the doorway. A woman with long, golden hair and a man with tousled, messy, dark brown hair. They both had fierce expressions on their faces.

I smirked and charged towards them. They won't get away from me, I won't fail, for Zero...

Suddenly everything turned black and all of my senses were turned off. I searched frantically but, no matter what, I couldn't see anything.

Then, I felt a blade slice through my stomach and I fell to the floor.
