The Girl

In the starry gaze of her eyes so bright,
A chilly embrace, her distant sight.
Hair as black as the darkest night's art,
Vanished away, tore our hearts apart.

Once entwined, now split in twain,
Shattered remains, our love's refrain.
No mend for the pieces left asunder,
Two paths diverge, our love to plunder.

Avoid her glance, it stirs the ache,
Feelings fleeting, a bond's earthquake.
Lost in the mist of memories past,
Our love, a relic that couldn't last.

My soul echoes for her presence near,
Her response absent, my call unclear.
Loud is mine, silent is hers,
A love that fades as silence recurs.

Our tale's end draws distressing near,
Love now deceased, no more to appear.
Never to ignite, never to mend,
Our love's demise, an irrevocable end.
