Lucifer's Light

As darkness falls, the air grows chill,
Day's wild beats hush, night's calm instill.
In silence, night's reign takes flight,
For what else could they do, but embrace the night?

A lone star emerges on celestial cue,
The evening star, the first in view.
Tall trees bow, branches reach high,
Grasping at the majesty of the sky.

Lucifer's light, a beacon bold,
In cosmos dark, its tale is told.
Amidst enduring cold and stark,
Night's domain, it leaves its mark.

Other lights join, a homage paid,
To the Morning Star, in night's parade.
Celestial lights, in reverence bend,
Before Venus's light, they humbly descend.
