Lies of Her

13 5 2

In mind's embrace, I softly close,
With thoughts of her, the past's repose.
Her memory, a lingering kind,
Everlasting, within my mind.

In dream's domain, her visage near,
Beside my own, her face so clear.
A kiss, a taste of sweetened bliss,
Yet with her lips, sweet lies amiss.

She, a girl, in guise so fair,
Yet harboring poison, a hidden snare.
For hearts she weaves a tangled toll,
Her deceitful allure takes its toll.
