Greg woke up a little late. He checked his phone for the time. "Lord Almighty, 6:50am? What am I gonna do? My exam is at 08:00am. Right, I need to calm down and get ready. I need to leave at exactly 07:10am. I guess no breakfast for me then." He rushed to have a shower, got changed and took one slice of bread to eat while running towards the elevator.
He got on the jeepney at 07:20. He is ten minutes late of his scheduled departure. On the ride to his university, he sent a message to Liz.
"Good morning Liz, or is it good night? I'm on my way to school now. I am running late, and I am really hoping I will reach there on time. On the bright side, I haven't forgotten what I have studied last night. Hope you're okay and I hope Fifi is behaving herself. Ping me whenever you want." - GREG

It's now nearly midnight in London, Liz is getting ready for bed. She loves her room very much. She finds it very cozy at night time. She was tucking Fifi in when she heard her phone beep. It was a message from Greg. She then replied.
"Hi, hope you had a good night sleep. And I really hope you get to your university in time. Good luck on your exam. I am about to go to bed . Fifi is now in her bed. I'll ping you tomorrow when I wake up. Good night." -LIZ
"Good night Liz, and speak to you later." - GREG
Liz just read the message and went to sleep.
At his university, Greg rushed to the auditorium where he will take his exam. His classmates are already in their assigned seats and reading their notes. Greg found his seat next to Kevin.
"You're just in time bro. What did you do last night? You did not come to the party yet you came later than me." - KEVIN
"I woke up late. Traffic was bad too." - GREG
Greg checked his phone for the time and he saw a message from Liz. He opened the message without realising that Kevin is looking.
"Bro, who is that? You didn't tell me you are talking to some chick. Let me see how she looks like. Is she as pretty as Chloe?" Kevin pointed Chloe who is sitting four chairs away from them. Greg looked to that direction and seen Chloe looking at them and giggling with her friends.
"It's nothing, she is a childhood friend I have just reconnected with. I haven't spoken to her for almost 10 years until yesterday. And no, you may not see her, but I can tell you now, she has a face of an angel." - GREG
Kevin was about to insist, but their university professor arrived. "Everyone ready, put away all your study materials as we will now start the exam.
"You still owe me details Greg. Don't think you can get away from this." whispered Kevin. Greg just smiled.

The examination took about four hours. When Greg and Kevin finished, they made their way to the canteen to get some lunch. Greg checked his phone, calculated the time difference and decided to still send a message to Liz to tell her that the examination finished and he is now on his way to have some lunch.
"Greg, is she your girlfriend? I mean come on man, you update her of what you are doing. Really who is she and where is she studying?" teased Kevin.
"She is not my girlfriend, i told you she is a friend. She lives in London, we grew up together, and seriously that's the entire story so far." Greg is now smiling.
While they were playing around and teasing each other. They saw Chloe walking towards them.
"Hi Greg, you didn't come to my party last night. Are you avoiding me or something?" said Chloe.
Before Greg can answer, Kevin left them and went to the opposite direction. "I'll leave you two to it. I forgot, I have to go and see Mark regarding something. See you both later."
"Hey Kev, I thought we are going to the canteen for lunch?" Greg shouted.
"No, I've got to do this first. See you around." Kevin shouted back.
"We can have lunch together Greg, I'll get you something. After all, you did not come last night." Chloe said.
Greg, despite not wanting to go, decided to be a gentleman and said, "It's okay Chloe, I will buy you lunch. It's the least I can do for you on your birthday."
"Awww, that's sweet of you." Chloe said.
They both went to the canteen to have lunch. When they reached the table, Greg asked what Chloe wants and went to get it. He left his phone on the table where Chloe was waiting. The phone beeped. Chloe checked and saw a message from Liz. She opened it.
"Hi Greg, good morning, I woke up early today for some reason. How was your exam?" - LIZ
Chloe replied to the message. "Still studying with Chloe and Kevin, I can't talk right now."
Chloe then deleted both messages. She was hoping Liz will reply before Greg comes back. However, Greg is now on his way back to her. She immediately put the phone back on the table.
Greg asked, "Are you okay? You look like you have seen a ghost."
"I'm okay, maybe I'm just hungry." She lied.
They had their lunch quietly. Chloe feeling guilty about what she did, and Greg thinking, what time Liz will wake up and message him. After they had lunch, Greg told Chloe he is going to use the bathroom. He told her he'll see her later. He lied.
