Chapter 6: First Fight

     "I think i'm gonna break up with Peter." The way it came out was more of an affirmative tone than a question. "Are you sure? You don't think you're gonna regret it?" Elena asked. "We'll see." I looked away from her eyes and out the window, admiring the trees and stars that were shinning outside

     It was the next day. I told Peter I was gonna go to school with Kate and Elena. He responded with an "Okay". It pissed me off but it didn't matter anyways. Today was the day I was going to give Peter one last chance to admit that he lied

     While we were walking to school I told Elena and Kate my plan. "So i'm gonna talk to him after school and if he lies again i'm breaking up with him." I looked forward as we walked through the football field. "I hate guys." Kate said. I sighed in agreement. "Me too, Kate. Me too"

     During the day I would overhear Ned bombarding Peter with questions about his powers and how they work. Ned used to do the same thing to me. It's funny to see him bombarding other people about their powers too

     The day was halfway over so now it was time for gym class. Peter and Ned are usually partners while I'm with MJ. The class started by coach Wilson showing us a video Steve made called the "Captain America Fitness Challenge". I chuckled remembering when Steve would make these videos. He had to make so many videos like these for the government, he hated it

     Mj and I were sitting right behind Peter and Ned. Peter told Ned that he stole Cap's shield; which I have no idea how no one is hearing what he's saying right now. I looked at Mj, who was sitting next to me, to see she was face deep into her book. The video ended and we all got up to start the challenge

     Everyone in the class had their own stations. After some time we would switch. Right now, Mj and I partnered up to do sit ups. Peter and Ned were a few people beside. "So how are you gonna do it." Mj spoke, not taking her eyes off her book. I stopped doing sit up and looked at her, knowing exactly what she meant

     I went back down and continued my pushups. "I really... don't wanna... talk about it" I spoke every time I rose up like a vampire, grunting with every pause. "Sure." She responded. While I was doing my sit ups Ned decides to shout out loud

     "Peter knows Spider-Man!" He said. Everyone in the gym stopped what they were doing to stare at him. The place went quiet, shoes creaked, basketballs bounced. Peter quickly got up and walked in Liz's direction. Of course he did

     "No, I don't. No. I... I mean..." He stuttered. "They're friends." Ned added, not helping the situation at all. "Yeah like Coach Wilson and Captain America are friends. Heh." Flash chuckled. Ew

     "I-I've met him, yeah. A couple times. But it's, um... through the Stark internship. Mm-hmm." Wow he really is a terrible liar. Then, Ned decided to say something which kind of pissed me off. "Y/n knows him too" then, the attention split from just Peter, to me too

     I looked around awkwardly. Last time everyone looked at me like this, Tony had to make a press conference during the next couple days. "So, why am I being dragged into to this?" I said out loud. "You're an Avenger, are you not?" Ned turned to me. I stared him down. "Please shut up Ned." I said sternly. He nervously nodded his head and turned away, knowing I could make him fly across the room like a tin can

     "Well, that's awesome. Hey, you know what? Maybe you should invite him to Liz's party. Right?" Flash took a few steps forward. "Yeah, I'm having people over tonight. You and Y/n are more than welcome to come. You guys make such a cute couple." I flinched at the mention of us being couple. Recently it really hasn't felt that that. I stood up and pinched my lips
